DJ Premier never fails to deliver on his godly production beats. He is definitely one of the greatest Black Hip Hop/Rap producers of all time, period. 🙂👍

I’ve always liked j Dilla the best, but I’ve gotta consider that Premo might’ve been almost as good or just as good.

It's funny because I say the opposite but have to come to regard Dilla in the same way you regard Preem. I've always maintained that Preemo had that hardest and funkiest kick swing with the snare and has delivered tracks that have been unsurpassed like Come Clean ( ) and that entire Group Home album. Nothing beat wise has touched those projects. But Pete Rock's Illmatic, Dre's 187and Dilla on De La's Stakes is High makes that claim debatable. But STILL I'm more OF a Preem fan, but I recognize that Dilla might just be up there with him, OR super close. Definitely Pete Rock is right there with Preem, easy, and I even would put Madlib and Alchemist really close to Preem and Pete at this point. And please, let's not forget Showbiz, Bomb Squad, Mantronix, Marley Marl, Paul C, and even the infamous Dust Brothers, they revolutionized beat making and sampling. But I do have to say that that street boom bap sound was forged by Dj Premier and Pete Rock. But again, it's all a matter of taste at the end of the day. I'm not going to be mad if you prefer Dilla, or call him the best.

@@kmal16 J Dilla’s bass lines and snares blow my mind. I’ve heard probably like 800 of his beats. (No lie, I’ve got a playlist of like 700 of them.) Dilla’s music is like crack to me.
