    "Heavy duty soft loop tie down straps are very durable for long-lasting performance, and have an impressive 1,500 lb. capacity with a 4,500 lb. break strength!"
    ~
    If you guys were wondering what the is best way to hang a heavy bag, you've come to the right place! I use the tie down straps shown in this video to easily wrap around a support pole/beam and make sure to loop the other end onto the heavy bag. There are many ways to hang a heavy bag, but for me and my set up, this was by far the most convenient and easy way to set up a heavy bag. Thanks for watching!

    That’s a great idea for the price dude! Chains are hard to shop for especially when you buy online, I’ve bought “chains” for up to $30 for my 150 lb heavybag and they’ve broken off within weeks. A friend had to bring me an industrial level chain and it’s been great, but I wish I would’ve known about this!

    People should keep in mind when sellers from China advertise they often miss details like the difference between dynamic and static holding strength. This is a dynamic load and that is changing all the time so you need much much more holding strength, like about three or four times as much.

    You’re probably right that it would support the weight but I get concerned with the twisting of the straps to the point that it would rip. A simple mechanically rotational piece might make it work 100%.

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on how you punch the bag. When I make the bag swing I feel like I’m hitting off my mark. So I use that as a gauge for cleaning up my technique.

    • @SENSEIJASON

      @Rashidi the speedy ellis is the best well I’ve never hung a bag from a basketball stand so I can’t really advise what to do in that situation. I just know that if you have hooks drilled in the wall, or a stable pipe, you are able to use these straps instead of chains, works really well

    Would it be annoying to add a swivel at the top or perhaps add a challenge since its a smaller bag? Not sure if swivels really help for larger bags either.

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Swivels can be useful, and they typically are cheap, you can experiment. Everyone’s setup is slightly unique.

  • @FrankCambara
    @FrankCambara 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How would you go about a garage setup? I was thinking about getting 1” steel pipe and getting these straps to be able to move it from one side to the other.
    Any suggestions?

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well as long as the pipe has enough support, these straps have no problem hanging a punching bag. As far as being able to slide the bag from one side of the pipe to the other, it doesn’t glide as easily as you may think. Because once you wrap it around the pipe it is very tight and secure, so imagining the heavy bag already attached to the straps it would be difficult. However they are easy to remove when you take weight off the straps. So perhaps have someone prop up the bag while you loosen the strap and both move together to reposition. I hope this answers your question.

      Hey brother you absolutely can loop several together, though I’m not sure how abrasive the surface of the wood you’d be putting it on. I also tried to loop some together on a gazebo in my backyard, worked well. But the wood there is sanded down and smooth to prevent any ripping.

    Do you think the blue strap would work tied directly to the bag (ie take out the shackle entirely)? Just thinking that would eliminate metal on metal noise entirely.

    • @SENSEIJASON
      @SENSEIJASON  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No because the looping mechanism is to go around the pole or pipe. The shackle can remove the pin, allowing you to slip it within the bottom of the loop tie.
