is it an explorer 1016? no matter the reference, that watch is my all time number 1, and it looks beautifully worn. Bravo. side note: Now i really want a custom blacked out Tank. this guy has some real style.
Although it looks very like a 1016 it is actually more likely to be a ref 5504. Note the "super precision" on the dial which differentiates the watch from the chronometer rated 1016. Interestingly the 5504 is actually the same diameter as a 1016 at 36mm. Great video of watches which are obviously well worn and much appreciated by their stylish owner.
Enjoyed the video but a bit disappointed by his lack of interest and appreciation for that beautiful IWC movement. If you don’t care about the movement you may as well by a cheaper quartz, there are plenty of offerings that ‘look good’.
It is a very elegant and well-put-together collection from a great designer.
