    • @steveaustin2686
      @steveaustin2686 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Like the Shuttle orbiters, Dream Chaser doesn't have engines for moving on the ground. Apparently a nose wheel would be heavier than a skid pad. The dry mass of the orbiters was around 78 tonnes and the Dream Chaser is around 9 tonnes, so moving Dream Chaser afterwards is easier.

Don't get me wrong anything from a Space vehicle development and capability perspective is great, but it is 20 years too late. Agree with L needs to be launched via a Falcon Rocket to be commercially viable. Could be the first low orbit passenger service. Sydney to London in how long I wonder?

    Looks just like the MiG-105, which was a response to America's Dynasoar program, a concept which in turn had its origin in the Nazi's Amerikabomber. Seems spaceflight has gone full circle in recent years - the U.S. is utilizing a Soviet design for low cost orbital cargo delivery, while all the superpowers in the world are preparing to enter a new age of deterrence with hypersonic boost-glide vehicles based on the Amerikabomber. Without some kind of memorandum on such weapons, the world will be closer to nuclear annihilation than during the height of the Cold War - thanks science!
