It didn't work and instead his new "punishment" is forever being stuck with the knowledge of what he's done, he also does favors for Nahida. His story is far from over and maybe one day he will have a true redemption arc, but he himself states that he's not a good person and he's not trying to be one He's just fulfilling his debt. He has taken responsibility and accepted what he has done is wrong though.

Venti has a entire and GIANT lore w him but did we actually seen him fight fr fr like the lore told us?
I don't think it's fair to compare archons because their powers are extremely strong in different ways.. heck, Nahida can do A LOT of heavily important things but will always be weak in the fighting category, would be the same if we compare Nahida to ei in their power capacity (not fighting) I personally believe that at the moment there's no real answer for this argument
