always love the nostalgia in your vids. Krypto was one of my favorites from that blurry time in your childhood that is still just sorta there. I especially love the commercial transition clips, its surreal seeing them again.
I vaguely remember this show on Cartoon Network or Boomerang in the 2000s and by the time the new movie was announced, it immediately made me think back to this cartoon and knew it would soon get the attention it deserves.
One scene that always stood out to me was the time Krypto almost let Snooki get ground into dog food. He was bluffing to get info out of her, but I always thought that was surprisingly dark as a kid.

My favorite plots in the show had to be when different kryptonite effects were played around with and the heroes had to find a way to still prevail with them in play.
I caught this show a few times when I was home sick, a lot of the time it was on, on Boomerang where they would have what I can only remember as like 3 hour marathons of Krypto. I had no idea it only had 39 episodes, it all just became a merged blur to me lol

I'm gonna tell you now this show will be better than the new super pets movie. Because krypto the superdog was such a good series and deserved so much better treatment
I always wondered whether this show was set in the DCAU or not. I mean, it’s not officially listed as a part of it, but there does seem to a lot of nods and references to it. And like with the first season of “Static Shock”, not all the shows have to look the same to be a part of it.
I can literally remember the voices of every character on the show to this day, I rarely got to watch this show as a kid I imagine due to its airtime or something, but it has always been a favorite of mine.
@danymartinmejiacabrera2111 like I said, krypto. Though I think it's kinda biase because I grew up with this version of Krypto and not the other versions.
It took me way too long to realize most of the villains in this show were parallels to the human villains in DC. But seriously, I loved this show as a kid, and hardly ever heard anyone talk about it for a long time.
Apparently I liked this cartoon (and just dogs in general) so much that I had a *giant* Krypto plush as a child. Like this thing wasn't the size of an actual great Dane but it was close to like a German shepherd in a sitting position. Super cute, super soft (not comfy though, he was filled mostly with beads and not stuffing or else he'd never be able to keep his shape, even if he lost it over time anyway), but not the strongest 😅I had to toss him cause he got a hole and started spilling beads all over the house and I wasn't any good at sewing so I couldn't save him :(
This show would air on Boomerang around 2009-2010 every once and a while. I remember sitting down to watch some episodes of this on my old 720p TV from 2006.
"Campy" is a good way to put this show, because it honestly felt like one of the last modern "Hannah-Barbara type" shows among a lineup where its contemporaries either had more cutting humor, edgier action, higher stakes, or something to say (and there's nothing wrong with that). While nostalgia does have a bit to do with my feelings regarding this Krypto cartoon (was 14 at the time), looking back at it now, the overall aesthetic of the show just kinda exudes a "comfy" feeling that we may never see again in contemporary cartoons due to writing styles, animation techniques, and consumer trends. Like, We Bare Bears is a contemporary show I would consider "comfy", but it's way more nuanced in how it goes about it.
"Hanna-Barbera type" makes perfect sense here as it's literally a Hanna-Barbera cartoon in essence, down to the artstyle and heavy use of their iconic sound effects (helps having some HB artists working on the show in some form, including legendary HB character designer Iwao Takamoto serving on as a consultant)
I really liked the show it was alot of fun and lighthearted, kind of wish they didn't change so much of the animals in the movie. Where's actual Ace and Jumpa? Could have had Dex-Star as the villain (cat vs dog would have been fun).
Man i swear the universe just loves giving me coincidences because i was literally just watching episodes of this a few days ago because it was a childhood show of mine and now you make a video about it just in time
Does anyone remember that time in the early 2000s Cartoon Network did the alien invasion crossover? It included shows like Camp Lazlo, Ed, Edd, and Eddie, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Codenamed Kids Next Door, and My Gym Partner's a Monkey.
I absolutely loved Krypto as a kid, pretty sure it was one of my favorites shows from that time Though the new movie doesn't make me very excited, I feel like the film is mostly going to be a mediocre cash grab that capitalizes on the financial success of The Secret Life of Pets films. Since all the advertisements for the film adaptation seem to highlight the celebrity voice actors and not the actual PLOT for the film, something tells me that it's going to be a somewhat lazy film that just wants to lure in kids with funny talking animals that parents will tolerate because they like such and such celebrity. If the film adaptation is actually good, I will be pleasantly surprised, but my hopes are pretty low as of writing this
Thank you so much for creating this because I remember telling you in a comment that I couldn't wait until you actually reviewed this along with Lunatics Unleash.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I remember being so hyped for this show when it was first advertised on CN, only because I was already so interested in superheroes and talking animals at the time. My grandparents even recorded it on a DVD-R (yes, they had a DVD recorder) since we were out of the house when it aired and we had already ditched VHS at the time. I wonder if we still have the DVD somewhere...

I remember watching this show, along with Johnny Bravo and A Pup Named Scooby Doo, as a kid.
I really liked the show it was alot of fun and lighthearted, kind of wish they didn't change so much of the animals in the movie. Where's actual Ace and Jumpa? Could have had Dex-Star as the villain (cat vs dog would have been fun).
Loved this as a kid! It was always on CBBC in the afternoons right after we got home from school
A petition for the revival of Krypto the Superdog.
What are your favorite episodes?
Man i swear the universe just loves giving me coincidences because i was literally just watching episodes of this a few days ago because it was a childhood show of mine and now you make a video about it just in time
Does anyone remember that time in the early 2000s Cartoon Network did the alien invasion crossover?
It included shows like Camp Lazlo, Ed, Edd, and Eddie, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Codenamed Kids Next Door, and My Gym Partner's a Monkey.
I love your videos so much keep up the good work man Jordan Fringe keep up the good work man
I never realized there were so few episodes of this show. It seems like movies are just running off of old kids shows now.
I remember watching Krypto a lot when I was home sick from school. This definitely brought back memories!
I enjoyed this show. I am going to get the DVD series when it comes out. I had a white dog of my own named Chika.
Never realised Kyrpto had the same sort of origin story as Lion-O from The Thundercats
I do remember it!!

One ticket for DC league of super-pets please!
This was my little cousins favourite show. I would have to watch it every time I babysat.
I absolutely loved Krypto as a kid, pretty sure it was one of my favorites shows from that time
Though the new movie doesn't make me very excited, I feel like the film is mostly going to be a mediocre cash grab that capitalizes on the financial success of The Secret Life of Pets films.
Hell yes! I LOVED this show! X3
Ah so you remember krypto but do you remember Hong Kong phooey number 1 super dog
I remember watching this show on boomerang! Krypto was a such a cool dog and I really hope the super pet friends makes a reference to it!
