Most jazz lovers ravel the classics; Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Dean, and others but in my opinion Michael isn’t like them at all. Yes he follows in there foot steps and Honors there legacy, but Michael is changing the way people look at jazz. He perfectly harmonizes the relationship between the past and present and puts his own modern twist in the genre of jazz we’ve all come to love. I’ve never seen Michael in concert but I would love to one day.
I did get to see him live in concert in Minneapolis, MN. (2012?...2013...2014...2015?) I had gone through my divorce and just devoured his music. (I think I have 7 of his CDs.) He ended the show going acapella. . . No microphone. . . I was speechless!
What a song! A short and poetic lyric. Just so simple that it is achingly beautiful. This version? A vocal masterclass showing the power of Buble's voice. A soft build to an almost operatic close! Very beautiful.
