Not sure what some of you are talking about, but there are several YT vids showing the 3/8 compact taking off lugs even on big trucks. That's good enough for me.

I used to work at the shop where most drops are high end brand. But I would definitely buy this for home use, especially under $100.

from what I've seen from watching reviews is if you want the rated torques pick up the 8Ah or higher battery.

I'm happy with my Hercules impact driver and 1/2 High Torque impact wrench. Both have the 5a battery. However, this 1/2 compact impact wrench is not very strong. Tried it and returned it the next day when it struggled to take off lugs on some cars. I ended up purchasing the Dewalt DCF891 Mid Torque (800ft/lb) with the 5a Powerstack battery which is as strong as the feedback all around says. If it continues to perform this good, the Hercules High Torque will come out only for certain tasks

For the price, they can't be beaten.
You can't expect something that's rated at 525 ft/lb to take a nut off that was put on by a wrench that is rated at 600. The one that was rated at 555 ft/lb DID take it off. WHAT MORE DO PEOPLE WANT??
The first set of lag screws was essentially a dead heat. The second, the tool with more rated torque won slightly.
And you never actually tested to see if the wrench could physically take a nut off that was torqued to 555, so all the haters in the comments have no clue what either wrench can or cannot do.

I have the 1/2" one as well as the brushless 20v grinder. But only a 2.5 battery. I went there today to cop a 5AH battery and they had none. Straight up not a single one! I have the 1/4" impact and I'm going to use the 2.5 battery with that but the grinder and the 1/2' impact need that 5AH. The grinder is nice idk if you have one or are going to get one. I am itching to get a couple 5ah batteries. I've been using corded angle grinders for a long using a cordless one is going to be crazy nice.

I'm hopping in here because I was really hopeful that the hercules mid torque would compare to the milwakuee because I have the high torque 1/2 inch milwakuee and I've had to get it replaced twice in a year. The hercules wouldn't take off a single lug nut on 3 different cars at work today. Not worth it whatsoever I will be returning it today and buying the milwakuee.

new to your channel, absolutely love the review. thank you. i think it would be more accurate if you let the bolt cool down before doing the test, no? with the constant torquing and breaking away it warms it up making it easier to unscrew so it wouldnt be the same as breaking away a 250 torqued cold bolt.

Personally the Hercules 1/2 impact gun is not good. I used it at my shop to pull off lugs and it couldnt do it. These lugs were torqued to no more than 120ft lbs. I used both 2.5ah and 5.0ah. I was disappointed. I returned it and got a ridgid for $149 at home depot. It came with battery and charger! The Ridgid works flawless!

I agree that the Hercules 1/2 compact impact wrench is weak. I'm using their impact driver with 5a battery which is surprisingly strong when used with 1/2" impact sockets and adapters. As well as their 1/2 High Torque with 8a battery. Between these two tools so far, I have not felt the need to purchase any Mid Torque or 3/8 impact
