Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧 owner of a Thunder Nova 51 130w laser. I've never tried a rotary device, but I may look into picking one up in the near future. Thanks for taking the time to share your workflow

Curious why steps per rotation is such a guessing game? Shouldn’t the circumference setting tell the laser what it needs to know? Your test line drawn is the same as circumference. Newbie here just trying to grasp it all :)

I think its mostly to do with a roller type rotary. I just got a fiber laser with a chuck type rotary, and its not a guessing game which is nice. It is alot to grasp at first.

Just wondering with this Laser model, if your sweet spot is 400/35 - couldn't you increase to 800/75 with the same result or are there other considerations?

Hey Bill, 75 power I think is way too high. I've never tried this high of power, but may work. However, for whatever reason, when I preview with these settings, its saying it will take about 40 seconds longer than my original settings.

Thank you. I just bought the 51/100. I’m wondering how close the string will be on mine? Thank you. I learned a lot.
