I’m just getting into (spidey) cosplay, I’ve been a cosplayer for a long time and this really helpes man. Also found your content the other day and just wanted to say keep up the good work!!
As a Spider-Man cosplayer for 7 years, I can safely say that I've never made the spandex mistake as Spider-Man.....because I made the spandex mistake as a Power Ranger instead! 🤣 When I started out, I wore compression shorts and a compression muscle shirt and.....that didn't work! I then tested out wearing two compression shorts, but that didn't work either. As much as I didn't want to do it, I decided to go ahead and get a dance belt. They really do work wonders with hiding your "web shooter" and I've been wearing them for 10 years now! As far as what I wear over the dance belt and under the suit, now that's changed over the years! To make a long story short, I went from wearing compression shorts and compression muscle shirt to compression pants and full compression shirt to now a body suit from The RPC Studio. Just recently, I ditched wearing socks underneath the suit and my legs couldn't have thanked me enough! Great video by the way!
Just out of curiosity as I'm leaning towards going with an undersuit myself as well for my first Spider-Man cosplay, do you wear the dancers belt underneath the suit, or on top of it? Personally I'd say underneath, as that'd probably would do the best job at keeping everything in its place, but I'm curious to hear from others how they do it.
@@MrJordiliciousI've never thought about wearing a dance belt over the undersuit until you asked the question. Now that I've thought about it, my answer remains the same: under the suit. I think it'd be weird to wear a dance belt over the undersuit, but if anybody wants to try it, then I won't try to stop them. I also think you're right as to it helping to keep everything in its place because I haven't had an issue in that area with my dance belt underneath the undersuit with that method before. Enjoy being Spider-Man!
I got a gambit costume for Halloween and I had a pair of compression pants from a homemade Spider-Man cosplay I made a couple years back and they were PERFECT for this
thank you for the help in reminding me that layering exists, dont need to worry much about the lines because its a deadpool cosplay and holster will cover it, should look good and presentable now
The unexpected issue I had with my dance belt wasn’t showing the ol webshooter. It was actually the seam at the very front of it. I suddenly had an ugly straight line showing through the suit that ironically gave even more attention down there.
I just got a dancers belt and it helped me find out where to layer it since I had to test it for me and it went up to an area where I don’t like so obviously thank you and hopefully it won’t get into that one area👍
Your content is AMAZING! Just got my first suit (Peter B Parker). It is SO hard to see through my lenses. Have you made perf metal/wire mesh lenses? They seem like the ideal option. If so I’d love to see how you might do it.
Im a girl who wants to cosplay a male spiderman. Ive been working out because I want to be fit and build up some muscle already (im a drummer and my arms get tired way too easily 🥲) and itd look nice with the cosplay too. So im doing that already. But as a girl who is a more middle sort of body type I am gonna try and find things to wear underneath. I want something thatll conceal everything and hold everything in place. And no I dont mean private areas. I mean skin. I dont want my stomach or thighs to move around too much in the suit bc I want pictures to be more uniform and I want that sleek look and fot my muscles to be shown off more so im trying to find something to wear underneath. Im going to get a binder and after that I may do something similar to whats mentioned in this video even tho I dont have.... Anything to hide really? Thats all im gonna say about that. But yeah if anyone in these comments is also a girl and cosplays spiderman but not a girl version I could really use some tips. Maybe shapewear would work? But I dont want to squeeze my body I just want to look more sleek if that makes sense.
im gonna go with the old and faithfull pair of shorts over the suit cause I want pockets, dont have a dance belt and its gonna be between 26-28 degrees Celsius on saturday
you’re gonna build up a little sweat regardless, and most suits are good about handling it. excessive liquid may just cause the suit to stick to you a bit more
Yeah I found a pair of underwear, some thick legging pants and 2 extra layers of underwear works best for me rather than multiple layers of pants, just so that it doesn't take up as much room. But yes the first time I tried it on, with only a pair of underwear, it was...... Yep. Let's just say it's a good thing I was home alone.
I know this probably isn't connected to the video at all 😅 but I was trying to buy a costume from print costumes but it say my order won't be taken till Feb 1 do to the Chinese new years? Is there any point of buying it if I need it for Halloween or does it always say that?
no it normally dosent say that. printcostume has recently informed me they are backed up on orders untill after halloween i believe. probably due to halloween. Since they are a smaller company they get backed up on heavy orders. If you want the suit for halloween id temporarily recommend another site like herostime or sim cosplay. or RPC for heavy spenders
normally when i used to cosplay spiderman i would wear underwear and then my suit and i would put on normal clothes if i ever go out on Halloween or if i want to impress some children who love spiderman
Thanks because you helped me because im a spiderman cosplayer and i have a tight suit to be comic accurate. But im kinda fat so everyone can see that. So thanks you 🕷🕸
does it feel too tight? it should be snug but not uncomfortable. you should be able to freely move and stretch everywhere, without it being baggy or loose
@anakinmonkey nah, it's a miguel o'hara costume. It's not uncomfortably tight (escept for the arm things). It's just that my mom says it's tight around my ass.
This is going to sounds dumb BUT do you (or anyone else) know that if you don’t have kung fu shoes or soles on your suit that you could just wear some like thick socks as a temporary replacement until you get add on soles and such
you can wear socks but they arnt “attached” to the suit and you’ll have no support. My recent miles morales suit i did thag and it was a nightmare. DEFINITELY get the soles
Sort of the same deal. Basic undergarments are a must. Id stick to more "sports" branded items for a skin tight look. If you feel you want some more protection or warmth, compression pants and compression shirt over the under wear and you're good. What ever works best
Who cares. I don't wear anything under my hot gear. What's the point in seeing lines wether it's a jock, tighty whities or something else. Plus it's smooth, sleek and comphy..
Obviously not Miles here, but I too often don the suit (and the appropriate things underneath). For me, and I unzip and pull down the layers underneath. It's not the prettiest of sights, but I'm not in the bathroom to be a sight either. In terms of public restrooms, I always use a stall if I can help it, even if it's to pee. Also, there are Spider-Man suits with crotch zippers, but - for me - I stay far away from those. The "invisible" zipper's still just an awkward zipper down there. It may be more of a hassle to pee, but I'd rather go through the process in the stall than have an awkward zipper where I don't want a lot attention drawn to. Take care! Stay Amazing!
as a transwoman, I'm familiar with hiding the "web shouter" 😹 this practice is called tucking (to completely hide it) but it can be dangerous for the body. what i personally use is tucking panties. its comfortable and does the job. as a Gwen cosplayer I wouldn't want people to see that 😹
These methods are pretty good for the average person cosplaying spiderman That said, I would advise anyone to look into tucking, tucking tape, tucking underwear, etc for transgender women trust me we know how to make the old web shooter disappear 😉
Why don’t you monetise? I get some people might not like having ads but at the same time people also have to understand that it’s a source of income for you! 100% I would monetise your videos if I were you
i’ve always been hesitant on it, at some point i’ll have to, in order to survive and continue to grow this channel. But it’s such a grey area for me since i like doing this stuff for fun.

Me a woman, watching this whole video 😂
legend moves
Lol, same here 😅
What about the girls?
Underwear > compression > dancers belt > spidey suit is what works for me! I also put on a compression shirt
very primitive method, but would multiple layers of boxer briefs be some what helpful? I'm trying to wait to get compression pants.
i did that before. It works. it just builds up way faster then you’d think
@@anakinmonkey i got plenty to wear. thanks a lot!

Ok I know the lense fog thing was a joke but fr how do you keep them from fogging😭
depends on the lense. the only ones I have that fog are my TASM2. every other one is fine. and i have yet to find a way to prevent it 🥲
I've heard dish soap and rub them on the lense@@anakinmonkey
