Really nice video Jani! I’m new at flatwear bending, and am not very consistent, so getting a touch up tutorial will help with my bending. thanks so much for all the in depth tips!
The best thing you can do is take a soldering class. If there aren’t any near you then you can watch a lot of videos and practice. You have to find what works best for you. Good luck!

Hi, The plastic tray, rollers, and pins are part of a kit called a Bender Press. There are several different kits you can get, they also have used ones. You buy an arbor press at Harbor Freight and put the kit on it. Also, join flatware/silverware bending Facebook groups. There is a lot of good info., and some ppl selling their used bender presses. Hi Jani, Could you tell me what kind of tumbler you use for polishing your jewelry. I purchased a double Barrell tumbler from Harbor Freight and returned it. Even after pretreating it per directions, my jewelry came out black. Each piece needed to be cleaned and polished. Was a real mess!! Appreciate any suggestions!! Your videos are very informative. Thank you much!!! Bettyann
Hi, My tumbler is an Extreme brand that I got for tumbling spent brass before I started making flatware jewelry. You don't have to have one as tough as this one. You'll also need the right media. Here is a link to my tumbler and media. stainlesstumblingmedia.com/extreme-tumblers-rebel-17.html stainlesstumblingmedia.com/stainless-tumbling-media.html There is also a polishing compound that you can put in your tumbler. Hi, Most of the silver plate is soft enough that you don’t need to anneal. If you start one that is just too hard to work with you can still go back and anneal it.
You have some really nice videos working with flatware. Thank you for your information including tutorials- nice work!

Hi, where do you buy the pearling that goes through the heart ?
Hi! The piercings are called Industrial Piercings. You can get them on Amazon. Here is a link: amzn.to/3wphzSV
do you anneal before bending? or just go ahead and put them in the press?
Hi,
Most of the silver plate is soft enough that you don’t need to anneal. If you start one that is just too hard to work with you can still go back and anneal it.
Are they all sterling silver ?
Hi,
These are all silver plated!
Why don’t you drill the heart before you bend it?
If you drill the hole first and then bend it, the hole will spread open and your hanger or rivet won't fit correctly. Hope this helps!
@@JustJani OK, that makes sense
just do it
