We need a sequel!! This was too good to not get one. Loved the Zyuranger cameo too!!
On one hand, i kinda hoped Tommy stayed dead. That felt like the point in this Universe, however. It makes sense why Tommy isnt dead, we knew at that point Rita was evil but wasnt a monster. It makes sense she trapped Tommy in a field similar to Zordon after saving her daughter. Also the Zyuranger cameo is a treat
Tommy just can't die, he's the Optimus Prime of Power Rangers. The thing people overlook is the fact he's still in his prime being in suspended animation like Steve Rogers was prior to hm being found in the preset day.
Amy Jo Johnson and her team has definitely done a fantastic job on this alternate universe version of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and has definitely left us with a sequel bait because of the turn of events that has happened with Rita's daughter Selena who has become a corrupt version of the yellow ranger, (and what is was very fascinating about this is that not only does Selena have her father Lord Zedd's Powers along with Rita's Powers but it is also Amplified due to the yellow saber tooth tiger power coin) and also the mysterious female White Tiger Thunder Ranger shows up at the remains of the command center as to who she is we don't know but it seems like she knows about Zordon.
I missjudged this Rita. Last time I thought she didnt care about her daugther and ran but oh boy was I wrong! She saved Tommy and not just herself! Damn this issue was amazing!
Love the ending. Could it be Trini as the white ranger? Or someone from the future that we haven’t been introduced to yet.
Well if u all ask ME... I think the morphing grid redeemed Rita.. hence giving her the White tiger power coin and her body back and tasked her to find Zordon
No martial art training because her mother forbid it hoping to keep her daughter from traveling the same path as her parents. The Yellow Ranger reminds me closer to Dino Fury super forms than anything else. The only thing I see Zedd style is the eyes and mouth plates.
Interesting. This would've made for a neat set up, but I think this should've led into a new gen of Rangers taking over with the now time-displaced Tommy becoming both the leader and the mentor for them. Could've also easily used teh Dairanger suits now that this is set on a completely different time-line with a completely open future, but alas. This has a lot of potential if done right either way.
Was really hoping Tommy wasn’t revived. Otherwise this was beyond excellent.
Yellow Power Morpher: Has a mind of it's own and doesn't let Minh morph.
I did not expect to see Tommy alive again because of what Ranger Slayer said all those years ago that this green ranger never survives. But on second thoought I am fine with it since it makes sort of sense as well. In main comic and TV series he ultimately looses the powers and The Return one is in similar situation to Tommy from Shattered Grid (they both ended up trapped in the Morphin Grid instead of true death). Even Drakkon is not an exception anymore since he died as a green ranger.
Theory:The white female ranger is Trini's daughter and maybe the father will be either TOMMY or Jason or Richie!

Okay after this I'm hoping Boom Studios let Amy and her team do a sequel! I know fans were split on this when the one shot came out as part of the anniversary anthology but this turned out great in my opinion and again I hope we get more from this universe!
I loved this series so much! What an incredible finale.
I grew up watching the show during its original run. Never read any of thr MMPR comics. Only reason I picked this up was because Amy Jo Johnson was co-writing and it was a miniseries. But man was this good.
Honestly, such a great read, the whole run, felt it was rushed, but with the potential for more, I'm excited what may come in the future
I just got the last issue for MMPR The Return, and it was Outstanding Amy Jo Johnson and Matt Hotson nailed this issue and this saga out of the park So many great surprises and that shocking cliffhanger , now i really need a Sequel for MMPR The Return I need it so bad now but overall this story that Amy and Matt did and wrote was Great 😊 MMPR The Return Sequel please 💚💛💖🤍😊🔥🎉
