They need to dig more into inej backup story next season .. the comment she just made about that she could be getting up easily but just went frozen because of the man’s position over hers and her trauma kinda slipped away because of the lack of info about her past
I haven't read the books and I was so excited to see what her hallucination was going to be (when they were trying to get the sword) because I thought it was FINALLY going to show SOMETHING from her past and it didn't. Even when Amita said that about Inej, I was confused because I didn't know that her struggling was that deep. Maybe they wanted to do Inej trauma in season 3🤷
I'm really hoping that they were planning to delve into Inejs story in s3, with her being away from the Crows and Kaz and ACTUALLY hunting slavers, it's the perfect opportunity to show everything she's been through and why this mission matters to her so much. They should have done more for her in s2, but I guess that's what you get when you try to do a show that covers BOTH Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows. It's too much story and not enough time.
@@megan0209 They books dont really go that much in depth with her being in the brothel. But we do get to read about her being picked up by slavers. and some about her family, but nothing really more than that. But we can all imagine that her being in a brothel has not been fun for her. And they mention the brothel a lot in the show, so to me it kinda gave itself that she would not be great with a man pinning her down, considering what types of people in Ketterdam goes into brothels.
@Megan Nyabvudzi Inej was kidnapped from her family who we’re basically traveling performers (why she’s so good at acrobatics) by slavers and sold into a pleasure house were she was used so that’s why she was so panicked when the man was atop of her. It’s also part of why she and Kaz don’t touch each other in a lovey way.
@@comenerdwithme3346 her being in a brothel has nothing to do with why her and Kaz don't touch. That is all Kazs problem. Inej would be fine with more touching. Leigh actually does not show us, how Inej deals with having been in a brothel, not really. We don't actually get told that she did anything in there. She was kidnapped at 14 and by 16 she has worked 2 years with Kaz I believe. So she was in the brothel a very short amount of time. But we are never actually told if she had to sleep with men or not.

Honestly, if S2 focused more on them instead of split between telling Alina's story as well, we could have had a far more compelling cat-and-mouse urban warfare with Crows vs Dime Lions, and Mogens (the Taxidermist) could've been built into a reoccurring nemesis for Inej. Basically, give us an Ice Court heist spinoff already.
This gonna only be relatable to a very few niche people in the fandom, but the way Kit handles the guns and the sound of those shots gives me maaaaad Cayde-6 from Destiny 2 vibes 😍😍

I watched the second season so fast the first time around...LOL...now I'm taking my time during my next turns watching this show just to savour each individual episode more. What I likeis that on repeat viewing I catch more details, bits of dialogue or even moments that I might have missed. Honestly, while I am not necessarily against Netflix's binge model, I think that "Shadow And Bone" would benefit more from having the weekly episode release traditional model. It would allow the show to breathe more and for people to focus on each individual episode and get the most out of them. I am also really happy with the long running time. I am sick and tired of some streaming shows that run for 6-8 episodes, where each individual episodes barely clock in a 40-45 minutes.
