- 1960 Plymouth Fury
The all-new for 1960 Fury is the best-dressed and most flamboyant Plymouth ever produced. Driven just 14K miles this stunner in cranberry and cream creampuff has to be among the finest examples in existence ... and it has the optional GOLDEN COMMANDO engine !!! ... BEHOLD the GLORY !!! ...
Favorite lesbian aunt lol. You have such a way with words. That cracked me up 😂
Nobody reviews like Charles. What a car.
@@jonboy9912 Charles the reviewer is a great guy number 9912
The difference from a product made by free men and that of slaves. You can feel the human soul from a car like that.
Your reviews are FABULOUS!
THIS IS my favourite car. I've only been on the planet for 17 years but my favourite cars are the space age finned jets from 1957-61 BUT the 1960 model year Plymouth full-size cars are the best, and one like this is my dream car. Though I am more partial to the Belvedere than the topline Fury; and my Grandma, in 1962, got chauffered to her wedding in a burgundy, white-topped 1960 Belvedere with the optional tire bulge on the trunk. It was my Great Uncle Jim's car.
Work of art!
Yup, "kinetic sculpture" for sure!!
“Ribbed for your pleasure”!!!
Caught that, too, huh?
I did a Danny Thomas coffee spit when I heard that
Beautiful ! back when the big 3 made Awesome cars
What a beautiful car!!! But your presentation takes it to the next level!! Excellent video!!!!
Great presentation Charles. The 1960 Fury is one of my all time favorites. This beautiful car just screams Space Age.
Those Aero Steering Wheels are precious..That Plum Red Poly is such a great 2 tone accent color......I did a painting of the 60 Fury...need to do another... Thanks CHARLES
Stunning car ! ❤
Absolutely sweet ride !!!!!! 100% American thru and thru !!!! My parents owned a 1959 Plymouth Savoy !!!!!
Fantastic presentation for a fantastic car!
Wonderful ✨👑
Fantastic review of a fabulous car. The second '60 Plymouth Fury you've done. Do ten of them if you want. They all will feel new and fresh. The owner story and low mileage a plus.
So glad you got it out in the open , Charles!🙌
Driving this motor car is like flying in your own personal spaceship. You can see the FINS through the mirrors as you drive. A thrill a minute 😊 was the advertising line. Thank you Virgil Exner for the Forward Look ❤.
Wonderful automobile. What a beauty, thanks Charles
This car makes me want to go to a drive in movie and make out with my boyfriend in the back seat! Steam up those windows! 😊
Yup, there was lots of "conception" going on in those big seats, back in the day! ;D
Never mind the car Charles, those shoes!
SWOON!! 👍😍
Someone get me a fan, I'm flushed!
I chuckled every time I could see that color reflected on the chrome!
I took driver's ed in high school. First semester in 1960/61 we started out with the 1960 Plymouth, then transitioned to the 1961 model. Yes it was a beautiful car. Ours came in school colors, blue and white, Four door of course, not all the fancy trim, but it was still a beaut. Always loved it when it was my turn to drive. Took my driver license test with it.
60 Fury is just gorgeous! This example is just, wow!
Mid-century genius...
There's a sound effect you use in these videos that is the same sound as the ringtone on my phone. Every time I watch your videos I think my phone is ringing. LOL!
What a cool car! Fantastic commentary Charles.
Cheers
Awesome Job Charles!! I love watching your videos and how you describe these beautiful works of art that flout down the road! Keep up the great work! Happiness is always found in one of your videos! 😁😃😀
WOW!!! This car is crazy cool! Those fins are so out of this world. It reminds me of the 1959 Plymouth Fury that my parents had. Ours was a white four door hardtop...but those fins it had! Thanks for the memories, Charles!
The styling of all the 1960 Chrysler products were outdated, but that doesn't mean everything Charles said about this car wasn't true.
Wow that’s a beauty
Cars these brilliant always get their due from our favorite brilliant reviewer💫💫💫❤
Holy cow. That is incredible.
Exner's creation while at Chrysler are legend.
Very beautiful Plymouth. I love it . I'm glad you showed that awesome engine.
Christine’s little Sister 💕💋💥😬missed you at Viva! Missed your Palm Springs tour 😳🥲
Beautiful 60 Fury!!!
Another great review. You really appreciate the exceptional styling and describe it vividly.
Such a great presentation of such a great automobile. Thanks!
Same as Cold War Motors. Art
Love that channel too!
Dad really liked Mopar. He bought a new 53 Desoto. (my earliest memories are of that car.) Then he bought a new 60 Plymouth wagon that was just like this car, only a wagon. I don't think I ever drove it as he traded it for a 67 Olds.
Next came a 68 Dodge Dart.
He always bought new cars and took good care of them.
Thanks for the memories and hilarious commentary!
Yup, those were the days when you'd see some neighborhood guy who seemed to have a new car every year or so. If you asked him why he did that, he'd likely say something like, "Oh, the ash trays were full"!! LOL ;D
Ron - back in 50s and 60s new cars didn't depreciate like today. I had a couple of uncles who traded for a new car every year. Also, the design cycles were much shorter. Changes in design and features happened every year.
@@mikefannon6994 Yup, they often went from good to bad, to ugly, then back to good again, styling-wise, it seemed!! :D
@@mikefannon6994 yup, things the same now!
Great Car! Thank you Charles
❤so amazing
First time I remember seeing those beautiful 1960 fins on a base model Plaza 2 door sedan in 1976. I've been hooked on those beautiful 1960 Plymouths since then.
My dream car! I want one!
God! What a DREAM!!! I want one!!!
This man is a professional salesman!! Enthusiasm SELLS
Torque Flite Baby!
What an absolutely amazing car! Have you noticed that roofline and rear glass design has been used on at least a few modern cars😘👍
the front was more brows than fins...you always dress so appropriately for the car, a beautician? I hope she had a platinum blonde beehive!
I love that big back bubble window! What a beauty 🤩 ✨
Another awesome video.
My God!! Those glorius tailfins!!! They will give a ‘59 Caddy a run for the money! 👍👍👍👍
Beautiful car ❤
Even cheap cars looked great back then, the golden 50s and 60s
I really like the taillights on those cars
WOW! Is it still in her family, or is it yours now Charles? Absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing it with us.
The side silhouette of that car is similar to what George Jetson flew in that cartoon. Instead of a hard top, they had a bubble and the car folded up into a briefcase for easy parking.
In 1960 tge plates would have been yellow with black.letters. In 62, California changed to the black plate with yellow letters.
love the ride of my 61 Dodge Dart Seneca 2 door post. that torsion bar suspension is like no other.
Thanks for the excellent review! These were extremely cool back in the late '50's. Imagine driving one of these down Ike's newly completed Interstate system back in the day! The other drivers probably thought the Russians were attacking!
Wow! Just when I thought you'd already found them all! What an absolutely lovely example, and the car's story is great, too. Will this be in the garage next to your 4 door hardtop? Cheers from Canada...
Scott from Cold War motor did one of these up in blue . 👍🏻🇦🇺✌️.
Great one, Charles, you have a fabulous channel. I grew up in this era of cars, Glendale CA, the HS class of 1964, and it makes one "cry like a baby" to see what has happened to so-called styling of cars today. No soul at all, just computer designed crap, IMHO. Any way some fun sayings from us kids in those days, re: these great, classics now but everyday then, cars. That push button Torqueflite transmission was called the "typewriter", and the crispest thing you can imagine, behind a big V8, no "slush-o-matic" as we used to call say a Chevy's (Powerglide??) of the same era. If a car went really fast, we would say "it goes like a raped ape", and of course all cars that looked like this one were just called "Bitchin'". And the huge back seats were called "rolling motel rooms" too!! That is a real "beaut'" too, LOL.
I know you can't tell us where you get them, then you'd have to eliminate all of us, eh? Cheers from nice hot AZ where these cars stay dry and rust free for a long long time, but the sun is brutal on their "naugahyde" interiors. ;D
Seems like as time goes on those jet age cars just get sweeter and sweeter. Should always be an excellent investment.
Love your review! Subscribed!
That’s a “Bettie” car! Gorgeous ❤
No wonder XNR is a Plymouth - Plymouth was the indulgent Church of which Virgil was the deity.
My granddad had one I always thought it was hideous
I had a 64 Plymouth Sport Fury. It had a 440. I Loved the car. I had to sell it. 😡
OooLaLa
Fabulous mobile!
Looks like it just rolled out the showroom
There’s nothing like American iron from this era. Can you imagine someone getting this excited about a Nissan Altima?
Well. depends on what year Altima! 🤭
An amazing example of an amazing car. Too bad it doesn't have Chrysler's very excellent AC system option, so another $5 or $10K to get AC installed.
0:37 this house gives me I Dream of Jeanie, Mr Wilson from Dennis the Menace tv show vibes. I know!!
The Golden Commando with TorqueFlite added $524 to that Fury~ that's around $5600. in 2024 dollars! 🤯
Nice, but not as nice as the 60 Fury of @coldwarmotors . This one is missing the huge and spectacular stainless wheel arches on the front.
But Scott’s running a 318 poly. I’ll take the Golden Commando and no toilet seat!
413 Wedge? This was a Very good Car. NASCAR to.
I think Ward Cleaver drove a Plymouth.
Grille looks similar to a 60 Imperial.
1960 they dont make cars like that no more
steering wheel looks like something from the Jetsons
Rasberry cream lol
2024 they dont make cars like that no more
Armsley square!
This is a real classic. It looks like brand new ! I personally liked the rear fin and tail light of 1959 better. In 1960, the Dodge Polara was an even more dramatic fin and rear. I remember the 1961 Fury looking so terribly different. The fins were over !
My uncle had a new 1964 Dodge Polara, black with red interior, which happened to be my HS colors, and I think it still had that push button, aka "typewriter", 3-speed transmission too. With a 383 V8, it was the perfect combination for the street then.
But Uncle Mel always complained about the "worn rear tires" when I returned it to him after asking to take it out on a date, in 1966!! LOL :D
@@ronschlorff7089Good story ! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Beautify car but I would not want to sit in that back seat on a sunny summer day.
Factory Hot Rod.
Not so, Valient as seen in Duel it won!
EYE NO😂😂😂
Some things are wrong with it, besides the terrible, terrible redone cloth seat inserts.
As a CA Fury, it should have the nicer 3 dimensional door Panels. It should also have a red steering wheel.
At 14k miles, the OE seats should still be intact.
Currently 200k on my OE Seat covers, still look 99% like new. The oe cloth is very durable and a beautiful mid century design.
I know!
Gurl, you are 2 much!
