He did alot to change people's attitudes about discriminating against LGBT Folks. He's also very honorable especially after what he thought he did to Tracy Barlow.
@@MsTinkerbelle87Yes, and they played alot of Girls Aloud Songs on Emmerdale. I live in Canada and their reunion Show is so inspiring. So many Girl Groups tried to do a reunion and they flopped.
Roy Cropper Started off as a bit of a odd character but really has settled in great and has become a very popular member of coronation street

Also I think that he's the longest running Soap Actor to debut in the 1990's. That's saying alot.
