I have a whole 70s-90s metal/rock play list for the game haha. Fits better for sure.
People sleep on $uicideboy$. I listen to them and RTJ on a playlist as well for this and Overwatch. Though because of its Guilty Gear roots, I think the 80-90s rock/metal works quite well. Honestly play some Cooler and listen to his sound track from the dub movie. You will not be disappointed
A lot of pro players (especially Japanese) seem to be more on Cooler train than 17. I wonder why. 17 looks really good to me.
I think they’re both good from what I’ve played but 17 seems more built around mixups, movement and giving the opponent paralysis by analysis, whereas Cooler seems to be built around being very good in neutral and hitconfirming of anything.
Not surprising the Japanese players are liking Cooler more, they seem to emphasise solid fundamentals over exotic tech.

It’s seems to me that 17 will take more time to see his potential rather than Cooler. Cooler has better fundamentals but once you figure out how 17 works and get real good with him. He’s pressure and mixups are gonna be god tier he seems like he’ll have you guess on offense and defense.

@Atm Bravo He was in a Strange place cause He was anderes Bit different to play than cell and co. But vegitto can do some realy good stuff ground or Air. I Just Hope 17 isnt as easy to counter from what I read, realy hope he can bei viable and not deflected and down heavied all the time

17 is not broken. 18s mixups are just as deadly but she has the same issues as him. He's not that great in neutral and his buttons are ass.

His basic attacks like his lights and mediums
@@brandon191298 compare his hitboxes on normals to that of someone like cell. His buttons are stubs and can't do anything in the air. Ki blasts are very steep. Great on the ground but reflect and lack of corner control really makes it hard for 17 to do much.

17 is gonna be top tier in the right hands sure theres some flaws like damage scaling and such but if you have the right team and skill you could be a mix up monster and damage scaling wont be too much of a problem

Tbh its kind of easy to get out of 17's pressure. When he starts the rekkas its easy to reflect out of it. Sonic fox has been a little down on him on twitter.

so many whiffs with the supers like at 5:57. Guess even if the move goes full screen or you do the level 1 and vanish behind them, if you they aren't close enough it'll just miss

He is better day 1 with a new character than I could ever hope to be if I practiced hours a day for months.
The pros get months to practice new characters before they come out so it's not really fair.
Krombopolus man I’m over here thinking I’m trash lol it’s nice to know that but you could see him still getting use to his weird air combo if you mess up the timing you’ll drop it’s completely it’s a super strict window too that’s why his level 3s kept missing but I feel a lot better knowing I’m at least decent with 17 most the stuff he did in the video I’ve pulled off already 17 has a really high damage out put on his level 3 even if a character is in burst it just eats that health bar makes up for the low damage

Krombopolus only certain people get early tastes of characters like Maximilian and hellpockets. The pros that be dominating every tournament we watch get them at the same time we do.

This game in it's big update or sequel is going to need meter based push block and guard crush mechanics, lol. Two things that actually are a thing in the series sure enough.

Still a meh character sadly. I think he needed more air options and the clarity of having the "in combo" 22S and the "out of combo" 22S above the bars. His supers could be better as well. For me, I prefer the super he does in the air to be used on ground AS WELL but as 236(r2). His most powerful tool is the mixups, other than that, he is a poor character. I hope he get buffs soon.

@@experimento6262 yeah I got quite practical with 17 and it's not properly a problem for me, but if by chance you delay the level 3 of a few moments there is a risk that doesn't go to sign so you always have a plan of what you want to do with this character and not doing random things and then go for a lv3 to get the hard knockdown as you can do with any other character
