W video fr. This is probably the best timebomb video that I have seen (I have seen many). You broke a lot of things down that further solidified my own thoughts and I actually watched the whole video with no skipping. I feel robbed that we didn’t get those scenes after Ekko saved Jinx but hopefully they can have like a flashback or something showing us what happened in whatever spinoff continues their story.
I don't think I've seen anyone else point out that head gesture Ekko used in 209 to communicate with Vi that Jinx needs help is a parallel of their scene hiding from the enforcers. I would have loved to have seen Vi and Ekko talk Jinx post 107.
As much as I enjoy Jinx and Ekko’s relationship, I was a big fan of Vi and Ekko’s relationship in season 1. They absolutely needed some scenes together. That’s a great catch as well! I know I’ve missed a few details, so this is great!
Yes, the relationship between Ekko and Jinx being subtle makes sense since it's not the focus of the series. Otherwise I think the scenes between her attempts and the war with Ekko should have been shown. It's one of Jinx's most important character arcs. So yes I think in Arcane it should stay that way but in another series I think they can be more direct with it.
Exactly! The romance they focused on was Vi and Caitlyn, which is why I think that Jayce and Mel didn’t get much of anything after their initial scenes too. It’s good they didn’t want to overshadow Cait and Vi’s romance, however, timebomb is just too good that its popularity is competing with the main couple.
Two things you missed in the video: First, one of Ekko's lines to Jinx in the game is "I had a crush… until you started talking to the gun." The second is that when Ekko burns his scrap of paper with his loved one lost at the end of the last episode if you look close and turn it 90 degrees on the fold you can see "der" bleeding through, clearly 'Powder' is who he's morning.
Yeah, in the flashback, we heard 4 shots, with the 4th one hitting Ekko on his chest. So in present day, Ekko evaded all 3 shots then jumped, expecting to tank the 4th shot with his front armor if he needed to and still have his momentum carrying him close to Jinx for a swing. But Jinx did not shoot the last shot, allowing Ekko to land a clean swing, but also make him see that Powder is still alive in Jinx.
Great video man! Keep it up ❤ While I do agree with a lot of your points, there are lots of theories why Timebomb would never work in the original AU. Lot more trauma yada yada. But I specifically wanted to talk about the deleted scene where Ekko and Jinx paint on each other. I would also love to imagine they shared a hug and even a kiss, but it's very hard to believe considering who Jinx is. She has never really thought about such things, never really had time, Vi was much more into that with the whole "cupcake" in season 1, but there would be a lot more work to do for Jinx to let herself actually believe there is love for her there, a big part of her was probably having a hard time believing that Ekko doesn't hate her, and almost impossible to realise he can love her, because still AU powder is not who Jinx is.
@Ilovesealssomuchhhh Do you know what specific commercial is it by any chance? (I'm talking about them riding the rocket together not the food commercial thing)
Except that epsiode completely screws over the pacing of Act 3 and throws so much else under the bus. Fun fact, more time is spent in the AU with Ekko than is spent on all the CaitVi scenes across Season 2. That time would have been better spent having Ekko be with the firelights and rallying them together, actually seeing the change in the real Jinx as brought by Isha and reconnecting with her that way, which would make a much more organic development with Jinx and keep Ekko central to the plot and payoff his S1. It would also mean he might ACTUALLY TALK TO VI. That would be a better timebomb than this. Its not even his Jinx, its AU Ekko's Powder.
@@gustavgustav2670 Caitlyn and Vi got more than enough time. Their relationship not going the way you wanted it is not the fault of Ekko and Jinx. Ekko, Jayce, and Viktor was the focus of Act 3 because the conclusion hinged on them, just like the beginning of it all started with those 3 in particular.
@derekjameswalker9942 they got 9 minutes in all of Act 2 and 3. You're deluded if you think that is enough time. Ekko and an AU Powder - yes, not even Jinx - was a complete diversion that caused massive issues for Ep8 and 9 and is literally just pure fanservice for a couple which doesn't even exist, as it is not Ekko and Jinx.
@@gustavgustav2670 Nah, even if they had 9 minutes, they also had an entirety of a season devoted to that pairing. They didn't need more in S2. Other characters exist and are also important to develop. Arcane isn't just about Caitlyn and Vi.

bro i can't get over time bomb , thank you for your video and some useful prospective on the whole story.

Thanks. I know I’ve missed a bunch of stuff. Ekko even briefly looks at Jinx before he enters the tower to bash some Noxians. It’s the little things😌
this video needs more attention fr
10:05 it also appears Jinx was holding back, she had a clear shot but she did not shoot.

I can’t believe I missed all of this😭 only thing I was worried about was Echo throwing that spirit bomb at Victor😂
😂 threw a genki dama at his head top fr
perfect execution on this video definitely make that react channel💯💪🏾
What a great video man, I can’t get enough of timebomb
The arcane artbook is my bible indeed
Arcane is such a 🐐 show 🌹

CaitVi wasn’t good this season anyway. In fact I believed we needed more Ekko and Jinx and less of them.
@Treck533 Or perhaps they actually need to devote more time to the offical canon couple, rather than wasting it elsewhere.
