nice video. this is very similar to the types of modulation you end up using with synthesizers which is fun to be able to use in a visual medium

Yeah for sure! They can be a bit tricky to work with in Cav, so hopefully this helps people create some rad visuals!

    Nice! And very beautifully done!

Hey Elliot - Love these tutorials! Can you help explain how to get a curved look while using a sine wave oscillator? I try 'using normals' and increasing divisions but can't quite get my lines to have that smooth curve

Which version are you on? You should be able to use normals and increase divisions, but I did see in the 2.1 beta it acts a bit differently than the older versions, so you can also try setting the Frequency value in the Oscillator to a smaller number. But also, in the 2.1 beta there is a new deformer called Wave, which let's you do this kind of thing better / easier.

Amazing, learning a lot how Oscillator function, @Eliiot would you like to know how to taper Stroke in Cavalry?

Hey Andre, there's currently no tapered stroke in Cavalry, but for now you can fake it using a pathfinder and it's taper graph

@Elliot, do you know how to control osc freq and make it loopable, official docs says that it’s looped every 63 frames. What is the calculation took place there??

Oohh this is tricky. For me I tend to just 'brute force it'. Pull down some guidelines on frame 0 and scroll through till I figure out where it loops. I think that the 63 frames may be with default settings, and I tend to adjust most of the settings when using Osc, so I don't know that the 63 frame loop point still works. This is one of those things that no one can seem to figure out just yet
