On the south end, where are you seeing grass? I fished as a co in the BASS Open, I fish the North end a lot, so the second day of practice I went to six mile, I did find some grass, but it was along the edges of the deeper pockets out towards the main lake. I have a bait that I love to fish in the 4 to 10 foot range in grass in the summer time. I'm hoping to go south this summer and try it out. I've never fished Negreet, I put in at Turtle beach the first day of practice and caught a 20 pound bag there, caught a 7 1/2. Caught about 30 that day most of em on a spinnerbait, the big one was on a wacky worm.
