As a dancer, I think Woozi is an absolutely amazing dancer. Woozi was actually given the CHOICE before debut to be in either the Vocal or Performance unit when no one else was. HE IS JUST THAT GOOD. From what I have seen him and Hoshi had a similar set of skills when they debuted. He is easily the 4th best dancer in svt in terms of skills. I think there are a few members in SVT that are unofficially part of another unit. Like Woozi and Vernon in the Performance unit, Dino in the Hiphop Unit and Hoshi in the Vocal Unit.
Not sure what you mean when you said "no one else was" given that choice, because HOSHI was as well. Hoshi is also the only member outside of the vocal team, to hold an official lead vocalist position.

Pledis were sure abt all the units but were only confused where to put Woozi. He talked abt how he was called by the Pledis CEO before debut and asked which unit he wanted to be in. and he said anything is fine. But ultimately they put him in the vocal unit coz he is the producer. SVT have never talked about anyone else being given that option. I think the only positions that official as of now are the leaders (S.coups, Hoshi, Woozi & DK), Main Vocals (DK & SK) and Main Dancers (Dino & Hoshi).
If you don't know the concept of relay dance let me give y'all my short explanation based on what i know. Relay dance is basically when the idols line up and each member lip syncs a line from their song with the matching choreography until they go to the back and the next one continues, obviously like a relay race. Sometimes, the other members accompany the member in front with the choreography or sometimes the order changes. The choreography is also not their freestyle it's based on the choreography from the music videos, sometimes they did little freestyle just for having fun. Relay dance is recorded once the mv dropped and before or after they performed on music shows. And if y'all maybe still confused about the outfit they all based on what they wearing on the music videos if y'all have watched the mv, that's it! Please correct me if I did mistake on the explanation 🙏🏼

relay dance is just an entertainment video when groups are promoting their comeback (all these videos were recorded in different years lol) With a still camera and everyone in a line taking turns to stand in front and dance/lip-sync or whatever
