If you want an idea for the town, here's one: A former coal mining village, a large station was built in the 1840s to bring coal from the village to the factories. To bring workers to the village, a small station was built on a line that went past the goods area- And this station would allow for passenger trains to be taken to and from the town. By the 1920s, the coal mining operations in the town had mostly dried up- Leading to the former goods station being modified into one fit for passengers.

6:56 some engines need tenders, PLEASE ADD THEM IT IS DRIVING ME INSA- Please add tenders to the engines that need them (engine=train for those who don't know) Edit: an engine/locomotive is what pulls the wagons/carriages, the train is the collective of an engine/locomotive pulling wagons/carriages
Sometimes you might have to delete terrain or object that are under the track. They don’t have to clip through rails to make the train get stuck. Otherwise, long trains can get stuck at points, so it’s best to take them at a higher speed. hope that helped :)

to be fair, it was a test run to see if anything would catch the train

A Little Tip for Gap Fill Turns: change the grid in build settings to 0.1-0.001 for smoother results

how did you make the camara follow the train at 6:55 ?
Hover the mouse over the train and press F. Then to escape just hover the mouse anywhere else and press F. Hope that helped :)
