Issue with my old K200D. First image after switching on is always overexposed. Second one is correct
I need to take 2 pictures and delete the first one.
I suspect a problem in the aperture actuator.
What do you think?

Yes, defective solenoid

​@@DIGISERVICEBG Yes, this is what I suspected, but, as far I can read in a few threads, deffective solenoid results in dark images, not in overexposed images. Do you have some experience?
I also noticed that K200D is fitted with the very liable japanese white solenoid, not the chinese green one.

I put new batteries in mine but my hands were still damp . I must have caused a short or similar . It hasn,t worked since . It won't power up at all and it seems completely dead . Is there a fuse or similar - or do I need a professional like you ? Cheers Sean

I've got a no power situation on my K200D, but I can't access the screws under the pop-up flash, because it won't pop up without power. Is there a work round?

What causes the no power issue? I have a k100d that has no power with fresh batteries.

Hello, if the battery indicator flashing with new batteries - clean the contact plates(inside in the bottom and these on the battery cover side). Other cause will be defective Power supply.

No flashing battery indicator. I get no LEDs, no screen, nothing. What do you mean by bad power supply? Bad power PCB?

Yes, this is what i mean. Check the fuses first, and then try to search water leak somewhere around coils on the back side of the Main PCB. This is common issue - water inside :)
