When you think about what future Lucy had to go through; seeing her friends die along with everyone else around her, Natsu trying to protect her and getting killed right infront of her and then being able to see them all again alive and happy, sacrificing herself for... herself then getting to see her Natsu and her guild mates again and them waiting for her so they can go on more adventures is just heartbreaking. And then the damn SONG COMES ALONG AND MAKES MY HEART GO OUT THE WINDOW AND SHATTER TO A MILLION PIECES 😭😭😭
And the fact that they all are in afterlife now
I know not everyone knows this, but Future Lucy lost her right arm/hand and was missing it the entire time she was in the current timeline. Breaks my heart even more thinking about that.

This scene made me tear up. In a show where the main characters are always unbeatable an alternate future of them opened are eyes showing that every single one of them can perish. I was sad and happy knowing they can spend the rest of eternity having adventures in heaven with each other ,but they all died in a land of hell fighting until their last breathe. Even Happy and so many others didn’t get the lives they were destined for.
What happened to future levi tho , she didnt die like lucy 😳
Yea I find it weird how we don’t know the happened to Future Levy, but she must have died off screen. I think it was Happy that said we were all waiting for you. They were saying that to Future Lucy. Plus they wouldnt just leave Levy behind like that.
This moment was so sad, I mean I knew that they aren't the current Lucy and Natsu, but seeing them dead and smiling in "heaven" even Natsu being dead, it made me cry so hard. Maybe one of the most saddest moments ever of FT.....
The future lucy, natsu and every one deserved a happy life, but they never got the chance, so they died lonely and in pain. They were killed to death. And I just wanted for them to have the same happines and life as the current characters. This was why I found this part one of the saddest.....👆👆👆

Aaaammmmm they were not dead in this scene. When future Lucy came back she warned everyone about the dragons and everyone dying, so when the gate got destroyed she "dissapiered" in her original but changed timeline so they are not dead
@@madyy1554 nope they are....they never got the chance to survive but at least lucy was able to be with them again....we saw natsu trying to save her from all those dragons but he couldn't. That's why when future lucy saw natsu again she started crying......but anyway we're to belive everything we want and it would be actually really good if they were all alive in their time-line 😔
@@I_Inoj2122 I respect your opinion, but I have to correct you. I understand why you think they're dead, that is what I used to think either, but when you think about it kinda doesn't make sense. I mean, If you come back in time and die, while the other you changes the reason you die, then you come back to your timeline alive. That's what happened with future Lucy, if the timeline hadn't been changed, the Lucy from that timeline would repeat the same cycle, and she would die too. Even Natsu said that the adventures continues, so tehnicaly they are alive in their real timeline. Sorry If It's confusing a little bit 😓

they are not in heaven they are in there present time cause the past guild fixed it so that the dragons never attacked

@@cyanide2789 it is the Afterlife. It's already confirmed. Future lucy is in the golden Grasslands where she can live an endless adventure with the natsu, happy and the rest of the guild. When it's the new future then why future lucy isn't in the same area as the present lucy. Future lucy is in a golden land with a bright heaven and only natsu, happy and the shadows of the guild are they're. I'm sure it's the Afterlife. Meanwhile we can see where present lucy is now.
It's not the afterlife. Her book, body, and future rogue disappeared from the present because the future was changed and those events never happened. She can't be in the afterlife because the events that lead to her death never happened anymore. However, this is a paradox, as this could not have happened if Future Lucy didn't travel back in time in the first place. So the timeline put all of the resurrected guild members in a weird place as a result of this paradox.
Basically, the place they are in is a paradox timeline where everything did and did not happen. The land was destroyed and not destroyed by Dragons and now turned into fields of gold.

Came back to rewatch the series after like 2 or 3 years since the ending of the anime. Just reached this scene. And this is the great thing about rewatching, even if you know all the plot already you have time to really hammer in the thoughts and realize certain things you didn't. I must say considering all the shit that future Lucy has to witness and went through even before get the chance to go back but the twisted part is that she can't even save her own friend in the future but instead sacrificed everything so that the past Lucy could have a better outcome. Yet she wasn't even there to see the results of her sacrifice. It is tragic in every way and it gives me a new level of respect for future Lucy.👆
Damn tears within 30 seconds. I'm to damn soft these days. I'm just torturing myself cuz why not. Im losing my mom and dad so figured might as well cry like a baby over life. I'm afraid I'm alone inside already but without my mom and dad I'm nothing. My mom and dad love this piano it made them cry alot. So playing it helps me remember that though they're gone they're always with me in spirit. So I have nothing to worry about. I love you Mom and Dad forever Young and beautiful you two are and forever will be. Just don't die on me yet I'll be back from my training so please hold on a little longer please God let me have this much at least. I can't live with myself for not being able to say I love them and thanks for there sacrifices and hardships.

I'm realizing, that in this timeline, Gildarts is the only person alive in Fairy Tail since he is most likely out on a job at this point, or at least not there. He has no idea that his guildmates were killed until he inevitably hears about it... Which just makes this all sadder.

When you realize that Lucy is actually the main character and that Natsu isn't... I mean, disagree as much as you can, but anime started when Lucy joined the guild... Natsu was always in the guild. In the anime, Natsu appears to be the character following and protecting the main character...

this scene, this one scene. was the most tragic ending of all of fairy tail.
this couldve been how it went down. this was the alternate ending that didnt have to happen but did. the very thought of every single lovable person on this show getting clapped, one by one while lucy watches helplessly is terrifying on its own. the silver lining is theyre all together in the afterlife to continue their adventures.
in 2023, I quiet watching many years back and just the sound track makes me want to cry dang it. This is arguably one of the best soundtrack of anime history
Anime has only ever made me cry twice and both times were in this arc. Future Lucy and Ultear back to back.
Same both of those moments made me cry. This scene though had me crying for like 2 days 😭

This was one of the saddest moments in the anime, second being Zeref and Mavis death
This scene showed a really frightning alternate future, lucy dying just to save her past self and the future. Her meeting up with their friends in afterlife and natsu telling to go on adventures with them made me tear up, while main character didnt even die nor any of the cast members.
Zeref and Mavis death was the saddest moment in the anime, because you could feel bad for both of them. Zeref was suffering because all he wanted was to bring back Natsu to life since he lost him and their parents in dragon attack. He went insane and studied everything just to fulfill his goal but yet he paid a price for it. This made him become more "Evil". He never wanted to do evil acts however him being cursed didn't let him.
Ive listened to this like 10 times only to notice the animation now 😭😭💔

The fact this "whole" sound track plays only once im the whole of 328 eps series of fairy makes it toooo much special
One Piece and Fairy Tail...my 2 favorite anime! My friends have always asked me...why do I value my friends and family so much....I told them that they haven't seen the adventures I have been on yet. Thank you One Piece and Fairy Tail, I will pass my values on to the next generation as well. Maybe the world wouldn't be so fucked up if more people can see the value of friendship and life.

man, i never even realized this until recently. fairy tail was the second anime i had ever watched, the first being naruto. me, being the kid i was, cried a hell lot while watching it, seeing aquarius disappear, seeing future lucy die, seeing guild master makarov die and then live again.
then i grew up a little, and before i even knew it, i had become just like lucy.
i'm ever grateful for having fairy tail in my life. nevermore shall it die, for even if the show ended, it will continue to life on without end in our hearts.

I never knew this scene was heaven. I always assumed it was Lucy going back to her time line and it being happy and everyone alive. I nearly broke down with Lucy when she was mentally reliving her friends deaths. Now knowing this I might do it again.

At that moment I couldn't believe..... They died. Not in our reality, but they died.... Natsu, Happy... I distinctly remember when they said to Lucy: Hey Lucy, we're here! We are all waiting for you! Our adventure is not over yet, so let's go!!!....... Oh my god.... This is probably the only moment where I really cried. Didn't try. The tears came out on their own...

This is what makes Fairy Tail good. Why we love it. Despite not having a proper goal or main character. This is why Lucy is facing us we are part of the guild. No matter if we lose or win as long as we have friends there will always be an adventure to live somewhere

Watching (listening) to this in 09/2020 after having rewatched the series again. I was watching this in tandem with SAO, and now I have to wait on Hiro Mashima to finish the 100 Year Quest manga so they can continue the fairy tail anime. The journey is not over my friends.
