You can't really call someone right or wrong because time frames change too often. Sometimes Alpha begins in 2010. But if we are talking about what we remember, Z is supposed to be shaped by living during the recession. Hard to do that if you didn't exist in 08.
I never agreed with these categorizations. Generations are shaped by cultural shifts more than anything else, so they should be grouped according to what decade you were young enough to remember as children, or as teenagers. ect... Born in '69, I remember the 70's as a kid, the 80's as a teen and the 90's in my 20's, as well as being heavily exposed to the previous decades throught television reruns and film re-releases, and that's what makes me who I am and why I feel so lucky to have been born then. Each of these decades were so culturally prolific and unique, and it's funny how half of the 90's pop culture was a revival of the late 60's/70's. If you can't remember these decades, or just the late 90's which was pretty bad with the Bill Clinton scandal, gangsta rap, rap rock, ect..., then you unfortunately missed the great renasaunce of the 20th Century and are growing up in a sad, confused and mediocre time which us now. Millenials are the Y gen. Why?
