Thanks so much Nick! Very hard to find this recording. I studied with Lorne for 4 years at U of T and he is no help in tracking down these blasts from his past. Would love to hear the album: The Quartet of Lorne Lofsky and Ed Bickert and Friends if you had it. www.discogs.com/Lorne-Lofsky-And-Ed-Bickert-The-Quartet-Of-Lorne-Lofsky-Ed-Bickert-And-Friends/release/3839338
That record has been rereleased on Apple Music, and probably other streaming services. I have both on Vinyl, and cherish them. Lorne is way less enthusiastic about these records than we are. His playing definitely evolved from here to another level completely, but this shit sounds awesome to me.
Great album, thanks for posting! Lorne is one of the greats of jazz guitar and very under appreciated globally in my opinion.
Perhaps my favorite jazz guitar album for over 40 years!!!
Love it!
super !!!
