I am starting to realize that the reason that i as a new player am not improving much is because i picked adc as my main role to start out with and the role initially forces you more to stay focused on playing the 2v2 matchup and play dodgeball simulator to stay alive in teamfights, but i am learning so much more about the league itself as a game watching top lane and jungle content. I'm even low-key inspired to go into top lane myself not gonna lie. Great content man keep it up.
The reason riven shouldn't miss and dash everything because she has no healing in other hand Aatrox one good combo and he will kill you even if he miss he healing too much but overall after the laining push even noob riven player can kill naaily

Best way to learn fundamentals in toplane is Garen. Then one you get your fundamentals I would switch to Fiora, why? because she is harder to play than garen and with her you will test if you actually know fundamentals (if you know them, you can apply them on any champion) and also focus on improving with Fiora. Then play whatever you want

And no, Aatrox has counter matchups (e.g Irelia and Fiora) the phrase "No true counter" is so dumb just cause a champ can win against a counter, but in reality you can win any counter matchup with any champ.

Late reply but Riven is a pretty bad matchup for Aatrox, especially if it's an experienced Riven. Riven has the advantage to win basically every fight except maybe 5v5s, and she also snowballs way harder and can roam a lot better. Riven also got a free first blood on the Yi here which is obviously ridiculously good for such a snowball champ and was probably a major factor in Riven's performance. You may notice that even though Aatrox could lane and be competent in 1v1s, that's basically all he could do while he waited for the chance for a 5v5. Meanwhile Riven here roamed all around the map cuz of her insane snowballing from not just damage, but other aspects of her kit that allow for easy roams to utilize that damage, like mobility and waveclear. Of course, this is all talking about high elo. I've easily won against Riven with Aatrox in my low elo (emerald) because Riven basically requires a good player to be good, let alone counter Aatrox. NAAYIL did not play exceptionally this game obviously, but it's far from an "embarassing" performance, especially against motherfucking Alois of all people. Plus he was building Hydra first item here, which I'm hearing was him experimenting. And either way it's a singular random soloQ game, it happens.
yeah and I also find enjoyable when he says that enemy toplaner is just playing under tower and he wants to fight, like, how are you supposed to fight aatrox as a tank?, only good play is to farm safely haha
because climbing from masters to chall will take more time than unranked to masters, and he have to do it for every toplane champ. meta will change if climb take to long
