@@bettersax That's funny because I was trying to find the most polite way to say I really don't like it. A few other people I watch have done it too and then stopped doing it a month later. It makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason. I think perhaps it bothers me because in these types of videos the person is supposed to be speaking to the person on the other side of the screen. However, if it's an interview or a video where there are multiple people talking and some of it is to each other it seems more normal. I'm sure there was a more elegant way to say that but basically I find it unsettling to see someone talking toward nobody from the side, haha! Please don't take offense and of course do what you like best.

Hey Jay I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all of the videos and genuine tips you give-I started playing about a month ago and I’m loving the new journey!-your direction has led me down the right path towards success with the sax-I had ordered a low priced tenor on Amazon then watched one of your vids and canceled that right away and ordered the Jean Paul Tenor sax instead-and I’m really glad I did!-(better sax saxophones were not out yet lol)-I play a bunch of different instruments & sing as well (have for 20+ years) but the sax for me is the most fun and definitely the most rewarding-Playing my tenor is like singing, riffing on the guitar, and jamming on the keys all in one unique package!-I love the physical aspect of it!-and without your help I would imagine I would be more frustrated than inspired!-so just wanted to say Thanks again and keep em’ coming!-🤙🏽

while I agree that ligatures don't make a difference to your saxophone sound, it is kind of strange to hear that after you just promoted heavier screws. At least the ligature is in contact with the reed that, that does produce sound on the saxophone, unlike the screws which have nothing to do with the saxophone acoustically.

I can’t speak highly enough of the BetterSax courses. I started playing sax five months ago with the Pentatonic Foundation and Core Essentials courses, and I never thought I’d be playing the likes of Charlie Parker or Kamasi Washington in that amount of time, and tons of other music. (Yes, I HAVE put in a lot of work in those five months.) If you want proof, swing by my Instagram page @brockhenning and check out a few of my video progressions over the last several weeks. Don’t get me wrong, it takes work, but Jay gets you on the right track to playing very quickly if you invest the time and determination. I just started his Blues Foundation course today, which follows nicely after the Pentatonic Foundation course. 👍🎷
