I’ve watched asmr for a long time, and I think that is used to give me tingles, but now I just find it relaxing. I use it every night to sleep, and it works like a charm. I’ve personally never been into tapping or mouth sounds…just whispering…especially when it’s up close or unexpected. And I’ve just reached the point where I like most TH-cam content to be whispered so that I can focus on other things at the same time (usually when I’m gaming, or eating~ it’s nice to have on in the background). I also listen to true crime asmr. I don’t find it weird at all…but maybe that’s just because I’ve used it for so long, and the community is so friendly and supportive. It’s nice to go into a comment section and see kindness. I feel like the only other community I regularly see that in is food related, maybe. But I agree, I think it’s definitely changed over the years as it’s become more popular

I have watched ASMR since 2012, or maybe earlier. I started with Gentle Whispering. I had searched for the sound of magazine flipping because that always made me sleepy when in waiting rooms and I was having trouble sleeping. Now it’s all high tech and so much is out there, its like subgenres of asmr. I just enjoy simple sounds that take my mind off of the day and calm my thoughts so I can rest. Whispered rambles help me think about something outside of my crazy life 😂❤
