Love the Log Cabin quilt video. I'm just a beginner and will hopefully get to do it eventually. Thanks for your videos they're great and the instructions are good and clear
I love the harvest panel. very nice. You should do a video on how you did your tabs for hanging your quilts. i like the buttons idea that you ve done...
Oh p-l-e-a-s-e, don't make potholders out of that horse/ranch/cowboy theme panel. Use that distressed wood fabric either as a border or even alternate blocks and make a small throw out of it, or maybe even a large wall hanging. But all those block scenes are just too cool and manly (vs. a child's cutesy fabric) not to remain in a group-themed project. By adding some additional coordinating colors like the teal you pointed out, the oranges, browns, etc. it could end up a large throw that would definitely make a great "Guy Quilt". Just ask your husband; I'll bet he'd agree with me or tell you he'd like you to make it for one of his friends. I'm so jealous and wish I had it to do just that. But if you feel compelled to make some potholders out of it, at least save a good amount to be used on a guy's BBQ style apron. OR, here's an idea: How about having some kind of contest, drawing, etc. and offer it as a gift to the winner? Then again, you could always sell it to me for a nice profit . . . :-)
Hi Newbeequilter. Don't worry. I agree with you. I would definitely make it into a quilt similar to the example I used with the bird house fabric. But, if some one had a small piece left over, the pot holder idea is an option. Thank you for watching the video. Happy sewing.
