That owl! Oh my--that OWL!!! So gorgeous!!! I also enjoyed the mini-parade at Cumberland, and it was neat to see several engineers honk at people who waved at them. It's a little thing but it means a lot. Kudos to the firefighters at the bungalow, and a big hello to the Italians; it looked as if they were having the time of their lives and I hope they get to see a lot while they're here. Thanks for another great one, guys!
Nice Grabbag VRF, saw the Illinois Terminal EMD SD70ACE on the point of a manual in Roanoke Eastbound a couple of days ago, nice shot of great horned owl 🦉!🛤🚂
How can you not smile when a family finds joy waving at a camera sharing a hobby. I think the owl was a little camera shy, didn't want to reveal it's hunting technique.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for identifying the HZRX! Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to grab my iPad to look up the railroad symbols. Nice addition!👍👍👍🥩🙏
I've been wondering what company the blue locomotives between the regular Rocky Mountaineer were from. Thank you @VirtualRailfan for letting us know. I'm assuming they're there to help the regular locomotives.
Some freight wagons have extensive and sometimes quite artistic graffiti. I suspect that an analysis of all of their individual route histories will show a common record of having all spent time in one particular freight marshalling yard. I wonder which yard that might be? It would be likely to have a more lax security regime than others. 😎

06:39 For some reason, I saw this and thought about The Benny Hill Show theme song lol
*Awesome Catches*
Big 10 curve, I’m sure the Rocky Mountaineer was checking to make sure no tramps were on the cargo cars.
Impressed to see an ex Santa Fe snoot SD40-2!
that poor owl getting messed by IR while hunting Great grab bag as usual
It sounded like something on the bnsf railroad grain train popped
I think that at 0:48 the engineers tapped the brakes and the noise was from the couplers pushing together; the train seemed to slow down afterwards.
14:30 The Spirit of Gradton, West Virginia.
VRF needs to put a camera on Grafton Yard!!
Fantastic catch of the owl, was that with an infra-red camera?
It was a Great Horned Owl, our largest (and one of the most common) owl species. Don't know about the camera...
18:13, Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo!
Owl see ya all later...
Excellent!
6:37 When you're bikers and also work for the railroad.
You missed a good one from the 14th at Ashland. 21:06 - Cat crossing, 21:07 Fire Engine JUST makes crossing before the lights and gates.
More speeders, please!

@0:50 what you hear when the independent brake is momentarily applied without the train brakes, I would guess it was a mistake.
