I think Callum wants to smash the prison to go with his earlier plan in season 5. Callum tried to tell Ezran about using the Nova blade to kill Aaravos. In the short term for what happened it was smart to try and stop claudia from releasing him to ensure that he is still contained and not a massive threat, but in the long term I would have to agree with Callum. Aaravos can still use his magic to influence and possess people while in his prison which is why I have to agree with Callum's idea of killing him to ensure he is NO LONGER a threat at all. This is most likely why Callum wants to smash it, so he can use the nova blade and kill Aaravos before he unleashes chaos on the world.
I think the reason Aravos can posses was Callum is because he used Dark Magic before. Well it's implied at least and the team just doesn't know how yet, so figuring out how will probably be a plot point.

I still feel like Aaravos possessing Callum was a huge copout on their part. Sure, there's the explanation of he used dark magic. But that was one small spell he used like three years ago. You bring up a great point about if Aaravos could be freed by possessing Callum to do it, why hasn’t he done it earlier. Which is exactly why Callum WON’T free him under possession. He’ll either A) be backed into a corner by a Do Or Die situation (threatening either Rayla or Ezran would do it for him), or B) the Star Magic in the Quasar Diamonds won’t be enough to free Rayla’s parents (since they won’t have the missing one Claudia has) and Callum will have to channel the Star Magic in the pearl prison to free them- thus simultaneously releasing Aaravos in the process. Also we know Aaravos will be released because the official lore timeline shown off at past Comic Cons by the creators describes this era as The Return of Aaravos. So yeah, he’s getting out. And there’s been a long-standing theory which might be confirmed that there’s a Quasar Diamond in the Staff of Ziard (Viren’s staff) which is how Claudia has it now.
An idea i have for S6 is that the Rayllum plotline could echo that of TTM but with Rayla and Callum swapping roles. In TTM Rayla was tormented by doubts and fears about Viren while Callum was skeptical while still trying to be supportive. In S6 I think Callum is going to be tormented by doubts and fears about Aaravos while Rayla is going to be skeptical. I agree with The Cov's view that Callum and Rayla need to understand each other more and this would be the perfect way to do it. By swapping roles like this it would not only allow them to experience what the other went through but also to see themselves from an outside perspective and see where they went wrong in TTM and aplogise to each other.

A outside perspective will lead a Rayllum's Full Reconciliation 'cause they need to see what's happened with the other in this moment and don't repeat the same cycle of mistakes again. They proveed that their love is strongest now that before and Harrow's words will make sense "Vulnerable, Forgiveness and Love" to them.
Did Zubeia make an appearance in the episode? Her injury at the end of last season, and the mysterious nature of the person who is supposedly healing her leave me wondering. Also, the strong emotional beat of her Avizandum hallucination definitely deserves a follow-up.

I saw the spoilers for s6e1 and i have mixed opinions on these. Claudia leaves Terry. I have mixed opinions on this. On the one hand we will see Claudia alone without outside influence. But on the other side we don't know anything about Terry and why he is in a relationship with a dark mage. I don't know if Terry can carry a scene alone. Viren is dead? I hope we don't see the last of Viren. We spend so much time for Virens redemption and to just kill him off feels like a waste. We skipped the Viren Soren encounter in s4. No last words to Claudia or Terry. Lets assume Viren had a sudden heart attack on the last episode in s5 and the story wouldn't change a bit. A redemption arc should at least impact somewhat the story and we as a audience don't need to know that viren was in secret a good guy. The prison. Why did they brought the prison to Katolis? They should put it in a metalbox and throw in the next storm over board. And putting this thing in a place known to Claudia seems not the smartest idea. Aaravos Aaravos can appearently control dark mages(or only Callum and Viren?) Without line of sight. Why didn't he control Claudia for the last battle? Wouldn't it be the correct move to send moonshadow assassins after every living dark mage to reduce the influence of Aaravos? It seems that the show has still the problem of too many povs Callum/Rayla go to the starscraper Soren goes to Zubeia Ezran stays at the Kingdom Claudia goes to an unspecified place Terry is still there Amaya/Janai is still there Karim does also exists These are too many plotlines and the pacing could suffer from it. Prediction for s6 The skyscraper seems to be another exposition dump. Rayls parents won't get decoined at s6 or they get written out of the story asap. Janai will pull off a Ezran and let Karim on the throne. Claudia will sooner or later get a dark magic dream if she gets redeemed. I don't think Callum will defeat Aaravos, because dragon prince seems to treat the female characters a tiny bit better than the male ones. I also don’t think this is the end for Viren either. On the Dragon Prince website, they released a QnA after season 4, and one of the questions was why there was no dialogue between Viren and Soren. And in it they promised that we would eventually have a scene where Soren and Viren confront each other over what happened during season 3. Since that hasn’t happened yet, it makes me think that Viren might come back somehow. If he’s not alive, maybe as a spirit? They did release a short story called Strangers that showed some interaction between them during season 4. While it did like it a lot and recommend it, I don’t think that’s what they were talking about when they promised a full confrontation.
I’m also assuming the sun fire elves story will rear its ugly head in season 6 as well. While I really dislike that subplot I hope they wrap it up in season 6.
It's a trope to reveal villains backstory right before their death to make you care about them. If Vader wouldn't open up to Luke in any way, you won't care about him. Callum's original plan from earlier season is to kill Araavos here and now before he gets more powerful after escaping.

I think someone said it might be early 2024, but I agree that they would go so far as release the first episode if it wasn’t soon, so maybe late December or January or February. I’m also curious about the promise of future seasons. They said it won’t be called dragon prince, but it will take place in the same world. I could see a Legend of Korra style sequel series starting the children of the main characters. But I think it’s more likely they’ll cover prequel material. The crew has said they’d like to tell the story of how the orphan queen first imprisoned Aaravos. Or the Mage Wars, which was when the human kingdoms divided themselves after they were banished to the west. I’m also hoping for more revelations this season about Viren. The creator said on Twitter that we’ll learn more about why he put his mentor in the coin, although he didn’t say if that’d be in season 6 or 7, or if they’re saving it for one of the novels or short stories they’ve been releasing. I’d love to see a flashback this season, especially since the books imply that him imprisoning Kpp’ar is tied to whatever he did to save Soren as a child.
I thought it was because the mentor was going to stop Viren from saving Soren's life with Dark Magic If that were the case,then I would do it too. Keep someone who would prevent me from saving my child just because they disagree with the method. It feels similar to a person destroying medicine for a sick kid thinking that the medicine is "hurting" the kid while "prayer/hope/faith" alone will save the sick kid. Without Viren using Dark magic, Soren wouldn't be in the story at all because he would have stayed dead when he was a little kid

I think that scene in Viren’s nightmare where he tells Kpp’ar that he had no choice, and Kpp’ar counters that he made the choice that gives him power. I wonder if maybe this implies that maybe Viren wasn’t 100% justified in whatever he did, like maybe Kpp’ar had another method or spell that could save Soren, but Viren wasn’t fully convinced it would work. We know in the Puzzle House graphic novel he was trying to find a unicorn. Depending on how prolonged Soren’s illness was, maybe he was hoping they could ask the unicorn to heal Soren? I just hope we get the answer soon, because I have to know what he did. Viren in the nightmares and books sounds like he was traumatized by whatever he did. The dragon prince started out as such a promising series but now it’s become very disappointing. I am not looking forward to the next season like I used to in the past and if the next season also ends up bad like the last two then I’m probably dropping this series entirely.

Because Aaravos’ character still had mystery. It couldn’t end with a powerful big hidden brain still being hidden. I’m sure people would’ve been mad too, on why we didn’t get more depth on who Aaravos is.
@@minniemoniekookie - I have no issue with a continuation of the story, only with the changes that essentially ruined what made Dragon Prince so charming in the first three seasons. And I could even accept those changes if they were a necessary part of the story being told - or if we were shown why they happened - but through two follow-on seasons, I've yet make sense of them.
