I get so scared that I feel sick because like it's the ultimate test out there 😂 like I'm not scared of the riding part, it's the anticipation
Trueeee!!! I'm fine once I get in the ring, but getting into the ring is harder than the actual ride itself xD

So they are just going to ignore the horse chewing on the bit the whole time? Aren't hunters supposed to be "perfectly composed and comfortable"?
Kiley Rowe this is an equitation class, not a hunter class.
Some horses are busy in the mouth. She's not making him do that. But this is an eq class. Horse probably would make a nice upper level hunter but because he chomps like that they wouldn't place very high.
I’m a hunter, and the horses i ride chew on the bit sometimes. They’re either bored or have a lot of energy. She has a really nice connection, and isn’t pulling back very hard. Even though it always has something to do with the rider, this was mostly the horse.
I am not a trainer, or a professional, but i know horses and have ridden for about 10 years, so this is simply my interpretation of why the horse is chewing

These are show hunters
Trust me hunters is SO fun! Think about pony finals, maclay etc... Some of the bigger shows out there, it's so fun!
It's really nice to get in rhythm with the horse, and compose a beautiful round, and so rewarding! And there are so many fun events!
Like @Stdent Mackynze Wolfe said, are barn hosts a huge rated show a few times year, including jumper and hunter classes, and a fun derby!
At the fall horse show, we get to pick two people and dress up and at night do a course jumping the jumps together, like hunting! :)

She rode that course amazing! She composed the horse beautifully and stayed in rhythm letting him do his thing.
Probably better than you could do. She was amazing at that horse! It stayed calm, and she stayed in control. So be careful when you call them ‘awful’.
