Saltwater is dieing off sadly with bands on a lot of stuff and the mom and pops saltwater stores are all closing up and most time you have to order on line and i hate it because you cant hand pick and you gt what they give you sick or noy they say they quaretine but do they?@TimbukTu0264

If we want companies in this industry to survive, then vote for capitalism. Put money back into the community instead of overseas and illegal immigrants.

It is obvious with Randy leaving and Ryan on sabbatical , that Ryan sold his controlling interest in BRS to the Private equity group. “Sabbatical” is a marketing strategy to pretend Ryan is still involved with BRS to soften any negative consequences with the departure of Ryan.

Team fuge for sure but does Chaeto pull nitrates and phosphate equally? In my 180 my phosphate raises slowly but nitrates stay steady. Just wondering is it the food I’m feeding or does Chaeto not pull the phosphate out as fast as nitrates?
You definitely dont need to tumble… got a two inch sand bed, with rock rubble turned over by Cerriths, and a couple of small crabs which is a refuge for thousands of pods, free food for my mandarins!! Adds so much more biodiversity to a tank…
Refugium works great for me. Rarely test anymore. When I do, nitrates are stable (neither rise nor drop). I control phosphate with Rowa-PHOS media in a reactor. The chaeto in the fuge, if unattended, will grow into a thick chamber-shaped cube and reach the surface (bleached top). Harvest every 2-3 months. Glad to see BRS still doing their thing! 😎🪸

No idea who these 3 people are or there backgrounds / experience, but it starts like there people we know. Didnt carry on as I simply dont trust these people. We skipped over what they have done. Its about as good as the football pundit chats at this point. Will cone back when I can tell the video is going to be beneficial to me rather than hope
Turf scrubbers are a waste of time, don't fall into the trap as BRS affiliates are making turf scrubbers... Algae scrubbers such as chaeto is the only way to go if you wish to use photosynthesis to export these nutes.

if I want to have chaeto, what color light should I use (more red or more blue)? How do you prevent light bleeding so algae doesn't grow elsewhere?
We need Ryan back. Nothing against the 3 of them but no comparison. Even if they gave them a new set.

Which algae contains the least bristleworms? Compared to chateo?
Good Question! Macros that don’t grow in as thick as Chaeto is your best bet to limit BW. Dragons Breath, Caulerpa, etc.
