The other side to this wonderful journey you guys are on is, what an amazing historical library that Jasper will have access to of his family and himself when he gets considerably older, . . . . .videos, amazing, . . . memories, priceless !!!. Stay safe , thanks and cheers.
Hi BigKev, couldn't agree with you more! When we started this adventure we wanted to create a 'time capsule' for Jasper and remind ourselves regularly that we are creating this content for each other as well as hoping to inspire other families to get out there and do the same. Take care and thank you so much for the support!
Great scenery in this part of Tasmania! Following is an extract from Wikipedia regarding Puffing Billy in the Dandenong east of Melbourne - In addition, four carriages were obtained from the Mount Lyell Railway in Tasmania after its closure in 1963, and regauged and reclassified for Puffing Billy use, numbered 1-4NAL. They are named Mt Lyell, Double Barril, Rinadeena & Teepookana to reflect their Tasmanian Heritage. These vehicles are now used as first-class carriages and used primarily on the Luncheon train and Dinner train. We visited Tasmania a few years ago and enjoyed a cruise on Arthur River, in the NW corner. We were rather dismayed by the amount of road kill. Many thanks for your informative videos. George
Great episode, we were in Tassie about a month ago and can definatly relate to having a break from the van on those bends! It's pretty tiring driving the west coast. Can't wait to see the east coast on the other side of this virus
Hey Adam, us too... unfortunately we didn't get passed the Tasman Peninsula and cant wait to be able to pick up from the East Coast when this all passes. Take care mate and stay positive!
Your videos are just getting better and better! Great work guys!! I really love this format, you are like the modern version of the Leyland Brothers :)
Thank you! The Leyland Brothers... that is a huge compliment 😊👍 “... travel all over the countryside ask the FeelGoodFamily!” 😁 Take care of yourself and we will continue bringing you Feel Good content as best we can over the coming months 🎬
Hi DMTG, thank you for your comment - we primarily use a GOPRO8 but worth noting that we only ever shoot in 1080p @ 60frames. The camera has the capability of 4k but this would greatly affect the workflow on the other end and not really matter so much on viewing quality for TH-cam!... we also use a GOPRO3 for time-lapse shots, CANON M50 for all piece to camera [locked off shots], iPhone XR for spur of the moment shots, DGI Spark Drone [1080p] for all drone shots. The point is that you don't need to be shooting in higher quality unless you have the computing power/time to manage in post. I use Final Cut Pro X and edit on the latest MacBook Pro. Generally an edit takes me between 14-20hours each episode every week! Hope this helps. Please do share our content far and wide so we can keep the videos coming! All the best. Cheers, Paul
@@trekcampfish Sorry i missed this question - no we did not because i need the workflow to be as quick as i am thinking so that editing flows well and I can focus on being creative and not waiting for processing and rendering of files - generally i am spending 16-20 hours every episode editing/production. I also beefed up the processing power of the macbook pro to make it all work fast and smooth, i hope this helps. basically i needed capacity to work with a lot of content [135-200 gig] at the one time and I am not sure the ipad will cut it..... things improve quickly in tech world so maybe possible with new ipad pro model but not sure or confident in that as an editing option? Let me know how you get on, all the best! Cheers, Paul
Another awesome week, loving your trip and feeling very motivated to get down there sometime. Also can I ask who the artist is on the music you use in this video please?
Hi Deirdre! We have a music license for a very large catalogue of artists to choose from - the artist for each song is different from memory so let me know which segment specifically and I’ll get you more details 😊👍 take care
Hi Guys, firstly I hope you are all well and keeping safe during this pandemic crisis. The artist I was talking about you played on Tasmania Western Wild whilst on the train ride. Thank you, cheers for getting back👍

We did the same harbour cruise in 2007. We loved it...
That’s very cool - we especially loved the family focus within their onboard service!

Great episode guys
Thanks again Stewart! We LOVED this ep too and I think the music made it even better 😊

The Feel Good Family did you consider the iPad Pro ?
