@@RocknusUrbanCamouflage I just picked up a M1009… I’m in the early planning stages. Your videos will come in handy. Keep up the good work.

@@Zenk61 Awesome. Good luck with the 1009. My brother just got an M1009 2 weeks ago. He's been working on it daily and enjoying every minute, even through the cursing!

When you sand on that CARC paint try not to breath the dust it’s nasty stuff.

Yes it is! I wear a full-face mask when sanding these things. Probably should have had at least a cloth mask on even when just cutting the pins really.

I am very guilty of the 2x4 in the door trick lol

I was thinking, since the truck is a hybrid volt system. What if 1 battery and alternator deleted and use a step up transformer at the starter to start it. I would not do that, but do you think that would be possible?

While I prefer to keep the original setup with 24v, you can convert these to 12 volt systems very simply. It would be much easier to swap in a 12v starter than it would be to do any kind of step-up, IMO. Here's a helpful link... www.thetruckstop.us/forum/files/nn10.pdf
