The Vista-Liner 100 has long been my favorite coach. The style was an amazing blend of both Art Déco and The Future. Too bad no one other than GM made a reliable diesel engine that made around 200 HP back then because the Cummins JT-6 or JT-600 with only 175 HP just wasn't up to the task. Only 208 were made between 1955 and 1958. 113 went to various Trailways companies. The rest went to small bus lines, entertainers (including The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Fats Domino and Elvis), and for various conversions. GM was forced by the federal govt to make its engines available to anyone that wanted them and that included other bus and truck makers back in 1958 but it was too late for the V-L 100.
Nice to see this one is in mostly original exterior condition.
The Vista-Liner was also the prototype for the Continental Trailways series of Eagle coaches. Continental had considerable input into the way the VL-100 looked and the seats. They also insisted on the Torsilastic suspension, independent on the front, that was first used by Twin Coach transit buses in 1946 and became standard on the Eagle. In time, Continental started making it's own equipment and that left Flxible as an outsider that supplied smaller coach operators, churches and the conversion market.

But you forgot that your favorite car is uncomfortable for the passengers inside on the floor like the GM Scenicruizier because of the humps of the tires it is uncomfortable for trips of more than 1 hour for both men and women to carry their legs on top of those shells in the floor the Sultanas 4axis Mexicanos were worse uncomfortable there in 1st Level because they had a double hump, so that great detail of discomfort was solved by the F-311 Hi Leavel by running the upper hump forward since the floor was free of those 2 humps of the 1st level for seats 5-6 7 - & - 8 check that inside in MEXICO that is why the Parlorcoach was not imported anymore, the Parlorcoaches were very slight, those humps almost did not take them in PD-41-04 of 1953 and 06 of 1962 they were very successful in Mexico since 1957 the first parlor 04 working them until 1984

It would be good to show how the front bumpers work.the center bolt is unscrewed an the bumpers being hinged on the outside are swung open to get to the spare tire which along with the headlights are fully protected by the bumper. Many other good ideas on a Flxible bus.

The Flxible F-311 Hi Leavel ´´1959 is more beautiful, that no longer has the shells of the tires on the inside under the 4 seats of the first level the F311 the entire passenger room is already above the 6 tires it was more pleasant to travel more than 2hrs of travel in MEXICO was the Dina 315 from 1964- 1972 in 1968 in MEXICO the F-322 Flxiliner 61 arrived in my country it was the Dina 323 Olympic´´ more than 3000 buses were manufactured 1968-1987 with slight aerodynamic modifications and aesthetic =

The Dina is made in Mexico with a license from Flxible bus Company 1- VL-Hi Leavel -1957 in Mexico since 1964 as Dina 315 in 1968 the second license for the VL -322 Flxiliner from 1961 was released in MEXICO it was the Dina 323 Olympico but Patent registration designs are 100% American, the dyne only made them in MEXICO, that idiot dyne NEVER designed anything, everything was foreign since 1956, which was founded on the other hand, Trailers Monterrey did design registration and patent the entire Sultana Imperial line with more than 8 models from 1955-a 1968 in 1970 the Sultanas Panoramicos with 4 axles double directional front wheel 44 passengers but DO NOT forget that in 1963 the Sultana Imperial 16SP PRIMER BUS double directional front axle came on the market that is 4x 8 12 total tires 44 passengers WC all were exported to South America trailers MONTERREY made better buses than Flxible and STRONGER
