Update : The first class tickets and the free transport to the city are not available anymore. You can find shared transportation from Railway station to gabala city for a cheaper price. You can also use Bolt taxi service as well.
Option 1 If you are planning to take the train to Gabala, the best option is to take Airport Shuttle and get down in 28 May station. The train to gabala leaves from there. You can even take uber to 28 may (8 azn approx). Please make sure the timing of the train is inline with your arrival. Option 2 If you are planning to go by taxi or shared taxis. Its better to take an Uber from Airport to Avtovağzal (10azn approx) and from there you can get shared taxis or buses to Gabala. Option 3 If you guys are a group of 4 or more, you can get some tour angencies to pick you up from airport and drop you to Gabala. They may charge you 200 to 2500Azn (approx)
The train leaves Gabala at 7pm and reaches baku at 10.20pm. The train operates only on Sundays You can buy tickets from the Azerbaijan Railways website ticket.ady.az/
