On the GTC and GTR, that are around 550hp and 575hp they are equipped with bigger turbos, while the GT and GTS under 520hp are with smaller turbos. So if you increase the power to 575hp but keep the smaller the turbos, should not impact the strain on the engine? If not why do they sell the GTC and GTR with bigger turbos?
they all have the exact same turbos, what i do know is that some internals of the engine are different from gt/gts/gtr. it’s the stock ecu that’s tuned differently.
Enjoyed your video and chip idea. I have owned a GTS since 2016 and would consider increase horse power. But as stated by others my concern would be warranty and strain on engine because of the smaller turbos. The car is wicked as stock in Race mode along Calif Hwy 1. I have carbon ceramic brakes that have saved me more than a few times. You can shit your self if you let it get away. Also the GTC and GTR along with larger turbos have rear steering to really help you cheat on the curves. If you really want to live on the edge and scare your passenger add the chip and larger turbos after your warranty runs out or buy a used at $75k. And for Gods sake get the best New Michelins! GTS is great daily driver and in Race it becomes a Monster. If you drive Hwy in Race when rains well kiss your ass goodbye!
Hello Alexander, as we stated in the video at some point, we're still waiting on the production run for the new cable harness which is required for the GT's engine. The final product will likely be available early 2021.

523hp for stock is quite weak to start with, most stock already have between 540-550hp. I've seen 580hp on a 2015 AMG GT S

if you can drop 100k on it, you should be ready to pay the price of anything
you can remove it and keep the service warranty going but it's a hella tiring to reinstall everytime before service.
