Great video and spotless car. Here in Spain it was called Seat 1430, at home we had one my father bought new in 1973, boy it was fast. I´m sure in California it will be a head-turner.
I used to have this car before, 124 special t...after 2 years , i sold the car and bought alfa romeo 1600 gulia...since that i am a alfa enhtusiast untill today..but at present i drive BMW 3series..😊
My father had a Mark 1 Fiat 124 Special (before the face lift) from 1970 to 1976. That was with the 1438 cc OHV engine and 70 HP. Unfortunately, she was "killed" by heavy rust after only 6 years. For the rest she was a "somewhat sporty" spacy and comfortable family car, and sheproved quite reliable too.
The reason is that they were built with inferior steel from the USSR. The Fiat/Italian government sold a car factory to the Russians and got paid with money, but predominantly with Russian steel. In Togliatti Grad, the Russians built Lada's based on this model. A Dutch comedian then joked that Fiats already corroded in the sale brochures...
Its great , love how the Italians are prepared to put effort into small capacity engines to get audacious performance . But also i have heard SAAB 2 stroke engines like this, ( & yes as a former M, cycle rider know the difference ) .
For 1971 it’s a super cool car. By early 70’s standards it runs in fumes, takes four people and has cool Italian styling. The engine is agile given the fact that it’s a 1.4.
Great car ❤️ I was in the Fiat car club here in Melbourne Australia for few years and was running white with black int 1968 124 Sedan way ahead in handling and fit and Finnish of any small car back then 💁
Saluti

170 km\h and 0-100 km\h in 13,5 seconds is 1 record for 1 car or old of my dad. Very nice. in Italy 1 car as this, min. 50.000euro..... Kissss from Cinisi
I believe Jerry Seinfeld bought this. Amazing shape, can see why he bought it. I read it was his first car when he first moved to California in the 70s

È bello vedere queste classiche Italiane girare sulle strade della California. Il Made in Italy è molto più apprezzato in America e in Australia rispetto all’Italia
The simplicity of these cars.. it's great.
Simplicity conjugated to excellent mechanics and road handling
Those were the days where you can do anything to your car on your drive way and by the end of the day you can drive it off anywhere. Miss those days!
Hai scelto proprio bene !!!!!!!!!!!!

It was called a FIAT 124 Special T in Europe. Great engine designed by Aurelio Lampredi, a Ferrari engineer.
Bellissima auto complimenti 😊
WOW very nice, also in Europe these are completely impossible to find!

1.3 bloktan eksantrik. Benimde bir zamanlar 131'im vardı. Adı Murat 131 idi. Türk versiyonu.
Los Angeles calabro 9😅
Tutti i bialbero hanno i contagiri questo. No. Però
Rebuilt that engine and it will be a great car.
What's makes you think the engine needs a rebuild??
@CreRay because I'm a petrol head and spent a large part of my life around racing engines, plus having owned half a dozen 131 super mirafiori.
@CreRay sorry , reason, sound a little loose, wear and tare loose, mostly top end .
