Had it been Winnie in jail for 27yrs, she would have found Mandela with a wife and children and he would have expected Winnie to understand. Actually he wouldn’t have been expected to explain or apologise for that bcoz it’s okay bcoz he is a man.
I cried a few times when I saw the way Winnie was treated by Mandela and his friends. I don’t however think they hated her. They talked ill of her. They were jealous of her. She was a very beautiful woman, very intelligent and loving. She spent her life fighting for her husband’s freedom and she loved him.
Those who were fighting Winnie and spreading hate for her will not leave this world without paying. Winnie was quiet and she never fought them back. She held her peace and left everything to GOD.
She knew the power of Exodus 14:14. The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.
I will always love Winnie and would like to emulate her❤️❤️

      @lekis5975 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@kenbhengeza5038 Wrong. Mandela was the Julius Malema of his day, a hot headed rabble rouser, as evidenced by the fact that he's the one who drove the idea of forming, uMkhonto we Sizwe, the military armed wing of the ANC. Oliver Tambo had the hall marks of a statesman. Madiba? Not so much.
uMam Winnie was considered beauty queen material, not a revolutionary, but when Tata was captured and jailed (5 years turned into life imprisonment), she picked up his Kalashnikov and strode onto the battle field, with TWO children strapped to her back. Swathed in ANC colours, sometimes in combat fatigues, she kept the ANC alive with her political rhetoric. She was jailed, tortured (beaten and kept in solitary confinement for 491 days, denied a shower for 200 days, told to use her hands to stem her menses). Out of the 21 jailed with her, 3 committed suicide, 2 went mad. Upon release, she didn't capitulate, still SHE ROSE AGAIN. Beautiful, bold and defiant. By the 70s she gained prominence.
Finally, the Movement decided to make Nelson and Winnie love story central to the Struggle, and that is how Mandela was chosen to be The Face of the Struggle. Prior to this, he was but one of many, and a rabble rouser to boot; hot headed, impatient, prone to making rash statements. *uWinnie* is the one who ensured the Mandela name was seared in the consciences of men, in the consciousness of their minds.

Ask neighbours and journalists who camped outside their home and saw Winnie being dropped off by a car in the morning until Tata moved out. Mandela was instructed by his handlers to divorce Winnie Mandela because she was very closed to the late Chris Hani who always refused to take orders from Nelson Mandela's handlers.
Winnie Mandela refused to be recruited for a fake freedom project in SA. Nelson Mandela was housed in a premises owned by Oppenheimer and Winnie Mandela refused to visit him in that house because she referred to it as a house of an enemy.
During Codesa negotiations Nelson Mandela compromised his own people when he failed to realize that political power would be useless without economic power and land being returned to the rightful owners.
Winnie Mandela and Chris Hani walked out of codesa meeting after they realized that Nelson Mandela sold out, Winnie told Nelson Mandela that they have sold black people who trusted them so much with their lives and she is not going to be part of this betrayal.
This is why Chris Hani was murdered and Nelson Mandela had to divorce his wife who refused to be converted into a traitor.

Do you know how she must have struggled between the moral burden and the sensual emotions? It is not easy to connect up so romantically with Mandela at that age having been engaged in such amorous relationship. Let us reverse it and put Mandela in Winnies situation, do you think it would also be easy for Mandela to drop a lady he had been romantically engaged with suddenly as we are expecting Winnie to do? This is the price of freedom. When a man is involved in a struggle of such magnitude as this, he becomes a like a sacrificial lamb. He ceases to exist for himself.
Everything about him is sacrificed in the altar of the struggle for others. His family, personal happiness etc. Ironically, those he is fighting for, becomes the devourers of his flesh and ribs.
Winnie herself is also victim. In my view, I think she was overwhelmed by the demons that scavenge the theatre of such treacherous conflicts. Unprepared and uncooked, her frame couldn’t sustain the rigors of the game and fame. The disaster was inevitable.
The man Mandela didn’t just lose himself and his freedom in the struggle. He lost his family also. Even when the chain was disbanded, his family was clearly never regained.
    Oppression is pure evil!
Now I understand the full weight of Mandela’s statement at the end of apartheid when he said
    “Never again”!
No man or nation should be made to go through such thing.

Huh you thought a man would forgive a woman who was deliberately getting laid by a small boy even after he was out of prison. Rhaa. Us men are territorial and we don’t forgive cheating, make peace with that. I’m glad our legend remarried to Graca after.

What people dont understand is that his marriage was part of the so called "freedom" negotiation Mrs Winnie Mandela had suffered too much to allow the terms and conditions that we sadly agreed to and the Apartheid system knew the power and influence she possessed over her husand Mandela so tarnishing her name and made her look like a criminal was all part of the plan....Mrs Winnie was sacrificed together with Chris Hani, Steve Biko and more the couple had no chance 😢😢😢😢😢

Winnie is a human being. She was left too young not to need a man close to her.Mandela should have understood her and forgive. For this reason,l hated my hero Mandela. He let me down.

Regardless, Winnie Mandela was a brilliant leader in the Struggle for the freedom of the oppressed indigenous people of this great country.

Sometimes we have to be reasonable... Honestly, how did we expected Winnie to survive for 27 years without real sex?😮... we need to be realistic... nobody can survive going against nature period!!

I couldn’t help realizing that she held her hand up then followed Mandela.

Inner Mastery: In my study of Mandela and Winnie one was not greater than the other. In their actions I found nothing to be ashamed of in my heart.
