Ted Reed gave me my first keyframe experience on this very organ 42yrs ago.

@KawhackitaRag There are a good few surviving Marenghi books over here and in mainland Europe, some organs still retain their original repetoires of original books, there are certainly a lot more still in existence than books from other French builders.

Oh, to get back to normality and have a grand day out at AFOM! It's great to see all the personalities in this video, some unfortunately no longer with us, and there's even a shot of me in there.

@petermackett37 EXCELLENT book! Splendid organ, too! Together they sound just like a military band! And I don't say that often about band and fairground organs!!! Nice videography too, thanks to the poster!!!

@petermackett37 how many other books survive arranged at the Marenghi factory? It sounds like they knew, the best of anyone, the capabilities of their organs.
Near the end of this arrangement, I hear bass, accompaniment, melody, and THREE(!) countermelodies! (there is the piccolo line played on the piccolos, the lower tenor countermelody line played on the saxophones (and trumpets?) and then a third, alto, countermelody line which sounds like it might be played by the accompaniment pipes).
