I'm not the biggest non-canon shipper, but I couldn't help but want more Stiles and Derek. Tyler's answer here highlights why. His and Dylan's on-screen chemistry is just magnetic. The stark contrast of character personalities, and the friendship of the actors, make for entertaining scenes. I could see a spin-off for just Sterek, and they don't even need to take it the romantic route.

It's hilarious how many folks who had never watched Twink Wolf finally watched it and was like "uhh...the internet led me to believe Stiles and Derek were an actual couple but that doesn't appear to be the case at all."

Sterek is something the internet made up. And that was ok until the internet started bullying the actors and showrunners about it. Jeff Davis even pathetically allowed the dateless Sterek Beckys to run him off social media. Imagine getting bullied off the internet by a bunch of barely legal dateless virgins.

@@freeinghumanitynow Tyler admitted in one of his interviews that he read fanfiction about Sterek. Yes, Sterek is not real, he never was, but the characters were written in such a way that people would create this ship. No one ever talks about Dylan and Tyler's real romance. Tyler himself refers to Sterek whenever he can and laughs about it. a series (probably two) of these films is a wink to Sterek's fans.
