How much of a power loss have u seen because of intakes leaking? I just hate using anything on the intake gaskets because it is just a pain to clean off.

Its not so much a power loss as it is a lean melt down of the piston. The leak has to be big for a melt down. Usually people don't know they have a leak and just jet up because it.

Never cut the pistons, just get the correct domes.

I freshen up my 4 mill. Ported stock cylinders. Went through the whole motor. Did leak down and was perfect. Broke in the motor and 1 month later found out was having some BASIC problems. Plug caps would not ohm out to spec. ( miss fire after motor would get warm ).
For the heck of it I did another leak down. Base gasket on left side leaking. Was I supposed to put Yama lube on Base gaskets ? Any advice would be appreciated 🙏

If I remember they was 18 thousandth thick gaskets. Squish 50 thousandth.
Compression test 161 psi both cylinders.
And the motor is strong. 158 mains. Cel middle. 60 pilot 2turn out. 35 pwk. Starts good and runs good? I can't find information about base gaskets and sealant

If you have a leak, yes. You normally don't need to.
