flew them back in 2016 when the 'product' was newer. Loved how much quieter it was upstairs, the silver tea/coffee service was fantastic and we got PJs! All the food was fantastic!
8 years later they are still flying the same product haha yikesss. AND they have no current plans tuo update their business class product as far as I'm aware. Maybe if Korean Air buys out Asiana they'll update it loll
Flying Asiana in november in biz class also out of LAX… thanks for the review cant wait! I also booked with aeroplan when chase had transfer bonus and adding a stopover to Japan for additional 5k 😊
Me and my 1yo old son will fly to the Philippines with Asiana this January! Had to book business class so my son would be comfortable. Excited but nervous! Thanks for the review!
I flew business on Asiana in May from LAX to ICN also. It was my first time flying business so for me it was amazing! The food was delicious. I couldn’t believe all the details like the tiny salt and pepper shakers. 😂 The service compared to domestic airlines was really great. I also stayed in that Andaz suite. Loved the Andaz! I booked the Asiana business class seats the day before. I had a back up flight on Air Premia premium economy. Thanks for all the great content!
I’ll be flying out with Asiana next January! Used your tips to redeem LAX-ICN, and I’ll be flying BKK back to LAX with Singapore in biz class. Thanks always for the great content! 🎉
thanks for this video - this is so reassuring as we have flights booked for next year. i booked them as flex awards with the plan of switching to something else "better" last min but i've been considering keeping them so this was helpful
Nice review Max! I flew on Korean Air Business on same route a few months ago with similar experience. I agree that A380 is older, dated but still nice in many ways. Probably in a few years most A380 planes will be replaced with A350 and B777X.
What about the seat? Was it comfortable? Were you able to lay it flat? Im still debating if I get the Asiana business or Emirates business going to Asia. Thanks
Not flying Asiana but I am excited to fly A380 for the first tine ever. Also doing it in business class. Qatar airlines. Im spending plenty of time at the bar. 😂😅
Thank you. I usually fly Korean or Cathay business class but I booked Asiana for the first time since it met my time frame. And I was wondering if it was decent, and now I know.
I am! I have a video on the Andaz from last year. There isn’t a “new” business class for Asiana unfortunately there’s Asiana business class suites which is nicer but isn’t bookable with points unfortunately
In-flight ramen/instant noodles are a MUST! After so much travel, still haven't been able to fly an A380... And gotta agree, Asian-based airlines are just on another level when it comes to service and food. How would you rank this to competitors like SQ, EVA, ANA?
ANA SQ EVA Asiana Asiana lags wayyyyy behind in the hard product and they don’t have any plans to update it. Maybe they are holding out to see if Asiana merger with Korea Air will get approved.
@@MaxMilesPoints Ah great point... surprised you put ANA up top, though I assume that's the new product? Personally (and surprisingly) thought EVA (new) > SQ, but maybe just a small difference from crew...
My parents are flying this in Jan! Booked through air Canada too 🙏🏻Thanks for another great video. Do you have pictures of the drink menu? 😂 Asking for my dad
I noticed that Asiana hasn't been releasing to Air canada lately for their T-14 availability (looks like only united at the moment). Is it common for them to only offer the codeshare flight to united and not AC?
Curious as to how far ahead of time you booked this flight. I've been looking for LAX to Osaka (stops in Seoul) for July 2025 and no awards availability so far. Do they open these up closer to date? Thanks for the great content and info.
I booked a month and a half before travel, probably got lucky on the award availability. I doubt you'll find anything at this point in time for June are July since they are peak travel times. You might get lucky with last minute award availability. Asiana sometimes releases their award space 360+ days in advance to star alliance partners like Air Canada
@@MaxMilesPoints Thanks so much for the reply. I'm new to the points game and only got my AmEx Platinum and Capita One Venture cards a month ago, so by the time I started looking on Air Canada / Aeroplan it was already fewer than 360 days away. But the one-way price on Asiana business-class is actually pretty reasonable, especially compared to JAL and others, so maybe I'll just purchase those with cash and save my points for the return trip from Tokyo to LAX.
For business the Korean company airlines always have bibimbap which is so boring. They need to elevate their menu! Regarding points, ironically I was looking at getting the Aeroplan credit card which is promoting 75,000 points. Is it worth it? BTW thanks to your other vlog we switched our Hawaiian miles to Alaska!
I just want to fly A380 one day. But not sure to where. Id like to visit bangkok so maybe with singapore airlines. What are some easy routes to book out of lax going to where?
I wouldn't say easy to book but Qatar flies Doha to BKK on a A380. I'm flying SFO-DOH on A350 Qsuites then DOH-BKK on A380... total was 95k Avios +$195... follow someone who let's announces award dumps and you might get lucky like I did.
I always felt the business class seat on the 380 was a serious design flaw. Why have one seat closer to the window and the other closer to the aisle ? Usually everyone wants the one closer to the window. Didn't the 380 engineers think of this when they designed the business class ? I'm sorry to see Asiana being merged with Korean Air as long been rumored. I hear the proposed merger has stiff opposition in the U.S. while being approved by every country on the voting board. My Korean friends think Asiana has a better product in almost every category and I think so too

I was really hoping to see or hear a fuller review of the sleeping situation- specifically for my dad because he’s afraid he won’t be able to comfortably sleep.. How far does the chair recline and can you extend your legs all the way?
This is like the same as ANA flying honu which I’ll fly with in a few days. I think Asiana is going down and will be swallowed by Korean air. I was so disappointed with their food choices and lounge (in Korea)
Additionally, bibimbap for business class meal is utterly cheap. Don’t get me wrong, I love bibimbap but I find it cheaply how both Korean air and asiana consider it as main dish 😖.
Can you post how you found aeroplan points transfer? I found air canada’s website super restrictive :( like it keeps saying i need to find something related to canada locations???
Going to Seoul on Asiana’s A380 in just a few weeks! So excited for my trip! 🎉

It’s a tool watch and I use it as a tool 😉

I did ICN to LHR on the A350, it was nice and I got a good price. But I definitely wouldn’t pay the regular price

Fujifilm X100VI

$3000 for rice and rice. No champagne, lobster or even a medium rare steak with a California wine?

Yup it's not impressive but I'd fly them over any U.S. based carrier any day!
