  • In this video, I'm going to react to a plus size shopping trip with GlitterandLazers in LA. We will react to Anna O'Brien becoming frustrated at the lack of a great selection of trendy clothing in store to fit the plus size body as she leaves finding the perfect outfits for her business trip to chance.
Let's take a look at this video together to see if we can agree on which looks are flattering and which are not.

I think she didnt pack anything because everything she owns is too small. Her latest video, the bathing suit haul in Miami, shows she gained another hundred lbs at Disneyland. Her thighs and belly have blown up. That she seems oblivious is what disturbs me.

I dont believe this was a genuine video that Anna just showed up with a suit case of loungewear to LA. She planned this as a dig that stores dont have her size in stock. A store just magically opened up on a Sunday for her. Yeah , sure Jan. Also as a Travel RN I lived in Orange County for a year. I NEVER saw even a patient Annas size. And just living in the Los ANgeles / OC area.. VERY few people were over a size 16'ish. Stores are not going to stock clothes when there are not people to wear them

I agree. I grew up in Orange County in the 60’s and 70’s and I have never seen anyone Anna’s size. My Mom had 10 pounds she wanted to loose and Jack LaLane had opened one of his first gyms there. Mom lost that weight within a month and remained thin. She just felt so embarrassed carrying that extra that she had to find a way to take it off.

When she said she was so sweaty from trying on clothes and continues to try on more clothes 😬I feel for anyone trying on the clothes she put back. Sometimes I feel like she thinks she's smaller than she is, anything she's tried that's non stretch fabric in "her size" that doesn't fit she blames the company. I get that there is variation in sizes between manufacturers but to get 3-4x sizes and think they will fit. She's also another one who says she went up a size for an oversized fit in a sweatshirt but it isn't oversized at all. Also it's not new to wear a dress over pants, I made a black lace dress to wear over pants in the 90s. On the positive side she actually puts alot of work into her content and shorts etc, it's filmed well

I don't understand the logic of knowing that you struggle to find clothes you like that fit and going on a trip without the clothes you need.
This is a side thing but making plus size clothes is incredibly difficult and it's amazing how many options there are now. (I sew and make clothing patterns for fun it's my hobby, I would do it for a living if I could) so much goes into making sure a garment fits correctly and pretty much for everyone the only way to have something fit absolutely perfectly is to get your clothes tailored or custom made. So much goes into how something fits from your height, body type, weight, the way your body holds and distributes fat, type of fabric something is made with etc. For example I'm a size small, 5'1" and have a pear body type (my hips are 11 inches bigger then my waist and 119 pounds, finding pants the fit correctly is a nightmare and I have to tailor all of them. It was much worse when I was 150 pounds but it's still an issue at a smaller size.
