I'm really enjoying your videos. Especially the analysis and extra information you provide. It's clear you spend a lot of time thinking about your content. Thank so much!
Rookie mistake but it's seen quite commonly in snooker. Ronnie's easy pink against Selby which he hit too hard and missed when he didn't need the black is a classic example. I guess when they're in the flow of potting ball after ball, striking at a bit more pace feels more natural and comfortable, but the pressure messes with their accuracy. This is what the whole video is essentially about. Playing outside your comfort zone under pressure. Well okay, I wouldn't really say a fairly straightforward pink is outside the comfort zone of someone this good, but it wasn't a gimme. There was some distance, so you get the jist.
Hey! Another interesting video idea. Nigel Bond and his run to the UK Quarters. First round he was something like 4-1 or 5-1 down against Brecel, came back to win, against Heathcote he snookered himself on the match ball, but still managed to win, and most people know the rest against Trump and Wilson, but those first 2 matches were excellent too. I think it would be nice to do a video of his progress as getting to that stage of a major at the age of 54 is an incredible achievement!
think i saw Jiahui play once against a top player, don't remember which, but it was this year.. he lost but for once, in a chinese player, it seemed like he cared. EDIT: Oh it must've been the game against Trump, was the whole time thinking...didn't he play against Trump?? :D Chen is competent here but like a robot. Thanks! You always find interesting selections.
Nothing against them obviously but they seem to play like robots until the come to the table. I think all the top winners like the class of 92 etc had a lot more match play with high stakes when they where young. I remember reanne Evans said something about the prospects of China being supported with funds by China itself or the government I should say. And I think she talked about how she had to earn in order to pay the bills. Gary Wilson was a taxi driver for a very long time and practiced In his free time and stuff etc... Perhaps something like this is also a factor somehow. Personally I don't like how a huge amount of the professional players are Chinese it's like they are trying to breed them as snooker players lol sorry I'm being extreme but you probably get what I'm saying... That being said China's population is huge and ding is a huge star there...
i think you are pretty much correct. nothing against Ding, seems like a nice guy, but he seems so bored when he's playing (and not for same reasons as Ronnie!)... i'm not sure playing snooker was his own choice, no matter what the narrative is.
I think the conditions are more difficult for Chinese players. They are in their 20s and without their families. O'Sullivan mentioned how difficult it is and always shows them empathy. Also, they still don't speak English well, which affects their lives more than it seems. I don't think the government support is greater than the financial support that other young players receive from their families. Btw, 20% of pros are Chinese, as is the world population.
@@CesarMuroya well pointed out. I didn't think of the whole picture and I'm quick with my words... Can't really ever judge someone unless you have walked his shoes can you. I had a feeling it was a lot more than 20 percent when I was looking at the players list some time ago. Seems quite normal I guess considering how popular snooker is there. Your research and your facts go along very well with your videos. Well done.
@@itnaklipse1669 I enjoy watching ding play. Most of behaviour differences probably come down to culture. Different upbringings. Although he has relaxed quite a bit as he got older and laughs a lot too it's really nice to watch most of the time. Although he is not in the category of young players that are coming through from China obviously. Perhaps kids are more disciplined by their parents but I don't think it's extreme It doesn't seem that way. There's a couple more Chinese players that I enjoy watching I probably came across as mean towards them I didn't mean that. I was just trying to explain in my mind how things like a 9 0 whitewash can happen (Robertson yuelong). Obviously it can happen ... bad day...first major final nerves etc...Neil made some tons... I haven't really come to any conclusions after all 😅
@@nicktrousers It's definitely a culture difference, Asian culture is more "strict" (not sure if that's the right word) and that leads to what can be considered robotic behaviour
I really appreciate this video. Really puts into perspective how good the top 16 in snooker are.
Thanks Cameron.

4:02 he didnt need the black. Why hit it so hard?

Great vid as ever, you do find truly interesting nuggets in among the stones and rubble! Cheers Cesar..
I can bet on this guy performing great very soon in near future.
As always your videos are really superb, but the musical closing themes are even better !!
Cheers Cesar !!
Glad to know that this time you didn't miss the main outro Yannis.
Oh, I never miss it Cesar ! I'm always into it wondering what your new selection might be !! lol

I already made a similar video, but didn't include the decider against Heathcote

Cesar Muroya oh wow. I watched it too! Haha. Must have forgot that one. Thanks for the reply!
Always look forward to your videos Cesar, thanks for the upload.
Thanks Thomas!
And Ronnie is the one who handles the pressure like a piece of cake...GOAT
BTW nice video as always Cesar 👌
Thanks Sameer.
All of the top winners have crumbled under pressure. But they are still the best at handling it.
Ronnie really is not the best under pressure though

wow noce video🎥🎥
I love the video kinda maxxi century break trick shots best shots but this video gives me a fresh one👍👍👍👍
Very good
How do you overcome this though?
Probably playing matches when you are young that actually have stakes and make you hurt a lot when you lose
The trumpster can be a little frightening.
Problem is, the Chinese players can’t handle pressure. They bottle it everytime, sad but true.
Ding's done alright for himself, winning three UK titles and a Masters title
@@olivermccall9770 And all the other Chinese players
