He has brought the best out the students and produced a superb performance. The homeage to Paco de Lucia with the falstea, perfectly played by one of his equipo, was a really nice touch. I saw a "fin del curso" once in Cordoba in the 80s - all his students played with an amazing sense of compas and above all, feeling and emotion.

Flamenco and classical are two different types. Flemenco is largley with Andulsian and gintano genre and rhythmatic. Classical is soft, and more so brouque in expression. Fandango is beautiful expression as here. Paco Pena was amongst the best in his time.

Bravo Maestro- mentoring the next generation is vital! I'm no expert either, but can only suggest that the students spend time accompanying the fandangos with a singer. The real duende and cultural context is even more absorbed with lyrics and the ambience of a tablao and cante flamenco. Even an understanding of Spanish doesn't hurt- I remember accompanying a singer while members of the audience laughed. I didn't know the language so couldn't appreciate what was going on...
No, Bogdan. I have found it. That head belongs to Gerundino Fernández. The most sought after flamenco guitars are nowadays are those from Manuel Reyes (father) and Gerundino Fernández (father).
