Doing so gives you some extra AP and XP, and who knows, you might make some friends along the way. 3: At level 14, enter the inn in the main/starting town, check the available conversations, open the AP shop, and buy the VIP service - it's absolutely worth it. If you play for more than 2 hours with it enabled (it lasts for 2 days before expiring), it'll pay for itself! You should always have one enabled/bought as soon as you can buy it starting at level 14. 4: How to spend AP: bottom-right corner, click the party hat (Event icon), click Character Growth Goals, and focus on the bottom-most one, achieving mastery in things. It rewards you with AP for spending AP, which cancels each other out, so achieving mastery in those skills via spending AP is basically a freebie. When you're new, this is a genuinely good guideline/character progression goal early on. 5: "Luminaries are your gathering proficiency." Press M, scroll all the way down to Event Story, and the luminary-related quests will be there. You should start doing them ASAP at level 16, which is when you unlock them. You can do them via a conversation with the guy in the inn in the main/starting town. This doesn't speed up your leveling, but it does prepare you for the endgame where you'll need the items you get from your gathering skill. Loot every bush you come across. If you want to powerlevel your gathering skill, consider doing dungeons where the luminary is early on in the run. 6: What should you do with all your extra items? Weapons and armor: if you can, dismantle them. If not and you're playing with a friend who can dismantle them, give them to your friend. If not, just use the marketplace/bulletin board to sell the ones you don't use. Scrolls: Rank A's and 9's: throw them away. Rank 8's: keep. "Everything else: throw away." All else (materials): keep them; you'll find uses for them eventually. 7: You'll eventually unlock light and dark transformations (TFs) for your character. They're more or less the same; just choose whichever you think looks/sounds cooler. Use them in dungeons/missions as often as possible pre-level 90, because pre-90, its cooldown refreshes much faster, allowing you to use it basically every other dungeon. TFs significantly speed up how quickly you get through dungeons, and instead of using AP to level your TF skills, you use TF points, which are gained by using TFs. This is another feedback loop, like some of the AP gains listed above. You should focus on leveling the duration TF skill first and foremost. With only a few points in it, you can activate TF at the beginning of a dungeon and it should last long enough to remain activated for the entirety of that dungeon.
If you truely get stuck on a mission or raid and can't find anybody to help. Just go to channel 1 or 2 and type what you need help with in the (All chat) someone will help you. Just keep trying.
Just got back to the game after a few years. I started when there was only 3 character to start with. This guide helped me get back on track. Luckily i have 1bil gold lol
Been playing story for the most time. Now can't go any further until I hit 100. Problem is I'm leveling slowly getting there. Guess I need to try Raiding more.
doing story solo with the free lvl 90 gear is only really easy until you reach Donegal/Aidan. After that i would wait until you got a new weapon or team up with a friend :)
@secondpink sry for late respond :/ there is no real trick to take a shortcut on leveling gathering. From time to time there are Events that make it really easy but waiting for them doesnt make any sense since you will be maxed by the time we get the next one^^ so just loot any bush you come across and you will be fine. if you really really want to level it up maybe look for a dungeon where the Luminary is early on in the run and after looting it restart the dungeon and go again (side note to that: you wont get the gathering loot that way, because nowadays you have to complete the dungeon to get any loot to got during it)

Try and do Abyssal Arena, its quick and alot of exp. You will level up almost everytime you do it from 90-100
