  • How I made a DIY oil extractor pump. A fun little PVC pipe project once I got past the first failure. Check it out make you one. I didn't measure anything so no need in asking me any dimensions. You can do it work it out for yourself.
    The one I made works great Its my prototype and I will be doing an update and making a few changes as soon as my doggone ebay order gets here.

      Build yourself one. It wasn't that hard. It sure has been useful around the shop.

      around here I may not call things by the proper name or repair thing in the correct way we use what we have to get by.

    If you have a small oiless air compressor you can run a hose from the intake to the chamber with a ball ball valve connection . You get about 20 psi of vacuum. I did this with an old 5 gallon propane tank as the find reservoir . Pulls all fluids no prob

    You described the red pump as a fluid type pump. Fluid pumps don't move air, so that's why that didn't work.
    More recently Chris Notap made an oil extraction pump, too. If you watch his you'll get at least one idea for improving yours.
    I'm surprised how quickly and easily your DIY pump worked to pull the oil. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be to use a 5-gallon bucket with a lid instead of the PVC pipe approach. Buckets don't fall over, and they carry the oil to the disposal place very easily.

    You can try using an exercise ball pump, I found that the suction side creates and holds vacuum.

      Considered using a bike pump for this project actually. Thanks for watching

    I'm wondering if a mattress inflator could be used to create the vacuum? It draws on one side and pumps out air on the other side.

    What's your thoughts on doing two tanks and one vacuum cylinder cylinder compressor who your compressor set up ?

    • @TheRustyRooster
      @TheRustyRooster  ปีที่แล้ว

      Guessing you can tie 2 tanks together but looks abit over complicated good luck with it
