This is what a fanedit SHOULD be! Well thought-out, attention to detail/continuity, economy of exposition, and crisp, clear image and sound. WELL DONE!
This is one of my favourite movies In it's day the Flash Gordon movies and the music and special affects were ahead of it's time It is a great movie. 🎥🎶😺🌟
My friend how do you think George Lucas Steven Spielberg and James Cameron got influence you see when a child is inspired to reach beyond the imagination you don't stop that man you let them expand their brain cells how do you think eon musk t got see this kind of s*** encourage you to go out and expand your mind and start reading up on everything you can get your hands on look at these people man they were all influenced
I love Emperor Ming (Charles Middleton) and Buster Crabbe. They were my childhood heroes and best villains. Thanks for keep their memories alive. May they live forever... in our hearts and minds.
Can you imagine how hard this would be?! It's difficult enough to be in charge of a country (especially if you want that country to thrive)! Source: Have played Tropico. I sucked at it.
Dude, it was the 1930s/1940s! This was "'B-Grade' Sci-Fi"! Even back then, the producers of shows like this, had to do a lot of 'Recycling'. As a matter of fact, they practically 'invented the concept. It's where shows like, "Star Trek", learned how to do it. Besides, the music (Franz Liszt's "Les Preludes") was most likely the 'inspiration' for the 'costumes' worn by the cast.
I don't care what anyone says, the original Princess Aura is a rare and natural beauty. You just know all of her parts are real ! Also, even though the FX are (wonderfully) cheesy, The Purple Death is still much more entertaining than all Star Bores after The Empire Strikes Back !!!
@@robertszvetics210 I agree man I just got through watching the colorized version and these intro scene was much longer just the doctor come up to the guy that did on the ground
Nice quality video for 480P. Thanks for the upload😄. Of the three serials this is my least favorite. Jean Rogers (Dale), Richard Alexander (Barin) and Priscilla Lawson (Aura) are sorely missed, as they defined the characters they portrayed. Also, the soundtrack lacks the atmosphere and the excitement of the previous 2 serials' soundtracks, e.g. the use of parts of Franz Waxmans score from the Bride of Frankenstein added so much to the mood of "Trip to Mars" (like the theme played when Dr. Pretorious meets the Frankenstein monster down in the crypts is aptly applied to the Clay People in the caves).
Yes, the soundtrack repeats over and over ad nauseum. The original music in the first two series composed by Franz Waxman was perfect so many ways and is sorely missing. Happily it was used again later in the Bride of Frankenstein.
Buster Crabbe said in a interveiw that Ming Charles Middleman was the whole show and i agee what a great actor he was.
middleton.
Wow I remember this day when i was younger back in day saw this movie 🎥 I was born in the early 40s when it came Father and mother 📺 introduced in 50s

Wow, thanks, says BB.
Lucas furiously takes note.

The best use of Les Preludes in a film ever!
Apart from by Dr Goebbels
thank you
AMAZIN MING DIED IN THE FIRST TWO SERIALS AND HE COMES BACK AGAIN WOW WHAT A GUY.
Loved those spaceships and their sound

I love the costumes....Dale looks very cute in the outfit with the feather hat
How about wrestling octopods in the watertanks!
Not just Dale, the guys were sporting everything from a quail feather to a full bouquet of ostrich plumes. Very fancy indeed.
Wot a hero.
Remember watched with dad many sci-fi movies and flash was one of the best
I WISH SOME VIDEO COMPANY WOULD RESTORE ALL 3 SERIALS AND RELEASE THEM ON BLURAY.
It just doesn't get any better than this
YES SIR WEE BOB
The flagship of the Space Force should be called the U.S.S Flash Gordon.
Ming is not such a bad fellow.....he just wants to rule the universe .

HE MAKES DARTH VADER SHAKE IN HIS BOOTS
Donald trump
This is wonderful ! I remember these as a kid .....emperor Ming has had a facelift !
Charles Middleton also starred in many successful Laurel and Hardy movies, and he appeared in a US War Bond movie as Abraham Lincoln.
Very well done,thank you
Quite a bit of music from Frankenstein;
even some actors.
I love Flash every bit as much as any-
thing like it that came afterwards.
great fan edit clark well done
My arm almost cramps w/ joy while listening 2 that Wagnerian fanfare
Liszt
Les Preludes
Back when spaceships were silver painted wood and pipes.
Anne Gwynne is Chris Pine's grandmother.
And Ming again has a way out
My god, so camp , camper-than a row of tents 😅
Why do I feel that I’m watching a science fiction version of The Student Prince in Sherwood Forest?

Inside the Death Star =the palace
Old but good fun
Oh this is where my parents got my name huh?
"This is fan editor Billy Batson's feature length cut ..."
Shazam!
Great fun And great music!
Many of the cues are reused from Universal films such as “The Bride Of Frankenstein” and “The Invisible Man”
Star Trek Enterprise stole the grapple from this at 1:17
King syndicate
Finally, an un-cut version.
A UNCUT VERSION ITS MISSING OVER A HOUR FROM THE ORGINAL SERIAL.
Wrong it's been cut all the fan edit movies are
@@robertszvetics210 I agree man I just got through watching the colorized version and these intro scene was much longer just the doctor come up to the guy that did on the ground

A Biily Batson fan edition? That's Captain Marvel!
O wow. Scary.
Don’t you love those Roman helmets ??
Who was that creepy, old mad scientist working for Ming? He looks a lot like John Caradine. I always wanted to be a mad scientist, too.
Earl Dwire.
Groundbreaking stuff for 1940. Star Trek was heavily influenced by this.
I hate these fan edited of very old serials this entire movie has been edited
